5 out of 5 starsPurchased this to make a cookbook for my daughter for Christmas. It’s super cute. The only thing I wish was that it had some full size recipe pages with lines not just the two recipe cards per page.

Hi Sarah, this is very valuable feedback - thank you! If at any point I do have the opportunity to update it with your feedback, I'll reach out so that I can send you those pages.

My Dream: to be a stay at home mom
My dream has always been to be a stay at home mom. That's what this shop is all about.
From a young age I loved to make things. As I entered high school, I became obsessed with crafting. I began with scrapbooking, learned how to paint, and eventually got bored with the two.
Meanwhile, I loved to accessorize with jewelry. Whenever I found a piece on clearance, I would take it apart with my teeth and nails and redo it how I liked it. Eventually I started making my jewelry from scratch, with tools and all.
Eventually, I got tired of doing that on such a consistent basis, so I decided to to share the occasional tutorial on my blog, Moms & Crafters, instead.
I began offering printables, including adult coloring pages, as a huge part of what I do. I absolutely love doing this and have published adult coloring books in addition to the digital packets I offer here.
I also branched out into my passion of paper crafting, and combined it with illustration. I love crafting with my kids towards the Jewish holidays and creating craft resources that properly represent Orthodox Judaism.
My Design Process:
I first think of a subject and an idea. My favorite thing to draw (besides for Jewish holiday crafts) is...coffee! Mainly because I live on the magical fluid.
I sketch in pencil (usually) focusing on placement. I ink - starting with the broader detail and adding finer details as I go along.
Sometimes research is involved as well...
After I am satisfied and have erased my original markings, M helps me scan it. I fix it up in Photoshop, cleaning off pencil marks, eraser shavings, and increasing the contrast. I bring it into Illustrator, vectorizing my work to make it sharp.
Lately, I've been doing more illustration digitally, using Sketchbook on my Surface Pro. This allows me to create more and have more precise, sharper outcome, without compromising on detail. I started illustrating digitally because I saw that it was easier to transfer the result I was aiming for on paper into an accurate printable for you.

M
Assistant, Photographer
M (8 years old) is an important member of this shop. He takes his role as future assistant very seriously and supervises me while I work. He wants to be my full time photographer, if only I'd let.
-
Y
Assistant, Maker, Child Model
Y (age five) is the second-artist-in-command, inspiring me with ideas and instructing me as I illustrate. He definitely has opinions about art and has influenced the preschool items in my shop heavily!

A
Assistant, Keyboard Smasher, Bead Gobbler
A keeps me drawing by making sure I can't focus on any other work. She also assists in her role as keyboard grabber by smashing my keyboards, particularly hitting keys that double as Photoshop shortcuts so that I can redo all the work!

Shop policies
I used to make jewelry, but now I just blog about it....
You can purchase digital (printable) coloring pages for grown-ups all hand-drawn by me.
I believe that beautiful design is important, and I believe in making things by hand. I am also a graphic designer and use those philosophies in everything I do.
