A family tradition of curating vintage and antique treasures

MomsCurioCabinet (now DearElliottVintage) was inspired after my mother passed away in July 2016, and I inherited her most treasured items that she carefully displayed in her curio cabinet over the years.

Growing up, Momma took me with her to flea markets, yard sales, and antique shops all over the globe to look for interesting and beautiful doodads and thingamabobs, as she called them. She even helped me open my own little booth (shelf) in an antique mall in Rome, Georgia when I was only 12 years old.

DearElliottVintage continues her legacy and love of buying and reselling treasures we found--and those I continue to find.

Frequently asked questions
International Orders

Please be aware that you are purchasing from a small U.S. business, which makes you an importer. As such, your country's customs office may require extra fees. You are responsible for any customs fees, taxes, and/or other applicable fees. Merchandise cannot be marked as a "gift."

To check what customs, duties or VAT charges might apply for your country, please use this calculator:

Packaging

Because we take such great care selecting, cleaning, inspecting, photographing, and researching each piece, we continue that same level of care in packing each item for shipping.

Much of the packaging materials used for shipping are recycled. We save all boxes, paper, packing peanuts, and bubble wrap that we receive and collect them from friends and local businesses.

While presentation of your purchase is important to us, we do keep decorative paper wrapping and branded marketing materials to a minimum to reduce waste. If you are ordering a gift and are concerned about the appearance of recycled packing materials, please let us know and we will work with you!

Damaged or Lost Items

We are not responsible for items that have been damaged or lost in shipping, including items marked "attempted delivery." Please check with your local post office in these instances. We provide tracking numbers for all shipments.

USPS Priority shipping includes up to $100 in insurance, which we are happy to file on your behalf in case of loss or damage.

Reserving & Layaway

We are happy to mark items as reserved for up to 5 business days for serious buyers.

We offer layaway on items totaling $100 or more.

All layaway payments are invoiced through PayPal. A PayPal account is required for layaway. Please contact us to work out the details of the payment plan. Layaway payments are non-refundable.

Once we agree the details of the payment plan, you will receive a PayPal invoice for the first payment. You will continue to receive invoices on our determined schedule until all funds have been received.

Please contact us for more information.

Vintage Condition

Please view all pictures, read descriptions, and double check measurements with a measuring tape!

Most of my items are vintage and sold in as-is condition. I try to photograph every element of the piece as accurately as possible, from color and scale to imperfections. Keep in mind that color may vary slightly from monitor to monitor, in different lighting, weather, environments, vision, etc.

I take a lot of time to describe each item fully, including measurements, flaws, attributes, and even styling ideas.

Please examine photos and description details carefully before making a purchase, and feel free to ask me any questions you may have.

More On Returns and Exchanges

Shipping Issues: Sometimes the postal system refuses to cooperate. If anything goes wrong with shipping please send me a message and we will try to work it out.

Refunds: I will happily send a full refund for returned items if I have made a mistake or misrepresentation in the listing. I do not refund items returned for imperfections, color, or measurements that are photographed, listed, or described in the listing. (In the case of any exceptions, I will charge a 20% restocking fee.)

Returns: In the case that I do grant a return, shipping is not refundable. I do not refund forced returns under any circumstances.

Discounted items are not returnable.

Because my items are one-of-a-kind, I have no way to exchange an item.
