I've always loved vintage. Not really.

My dad was big into antique and vintage. One of the things I remember most about visiting him when I was little was going to the flea market or antique faire. I was bored out of my skull. As you get older, it’s funny how you realize your interests have subliminal roots in your childhood.

Now that I’m all growns up, I see the toys and furnishings of my youth for sale in store windows. This happens about the same time you realize you’re not getting any younger, so you want to hold on to some of those memories. I began by selling online in February 2010, and in May 2011, joined the brick-and-mortar collective at Scout Living in Sacramento, California.

Q. Why buy vintage?
A. Because a unique home is a cool home, and frankly, sometimes it’s true – they just don’t make ‘em like they used to. Fill your home with things that make you happy and it will never go out of style. Every vintage seller has something fantastic to make you or your abode one-of-a-kind, not to mention helping to preserve our big blue marble in return.

Q. Why ‘Monday Pie’?
A. I’ve never read a book that made me have outbursts of crying laughter from beginning to end until I read The Gallery of Regrettable Food by James Lileks. It touched on some of my big loves: food, sarcasm, and retro kitsch. One reference was to a recipe for Monday Pie, a dish you made on Monday using your leftovers from Sunday.

CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS - California residents will have CA sales tax added to their transaction amount, per state sales requirements.

PAYMENT METHODS - Payment is via PayPal + credit/debit card. Payments made by PayPal e-check take approximately 5 days to clear. Please keep in mind that your order will not ship until clearance of this transaction.

NON-PAYMENT - If no payment is received via PayPal within two days of placing your order, the transaction will be cancelled and the item will be re-listed.
SHIPPING ADDRESS - All items will be shipped to the name and address listed on the Etsy transaction, NOT the PayPal account.

SHIPPING SCHEDULE - I do not ship daily, but do my best to get your order out the door as soon as possible, within one week of receipt of cleared payment. Payments made by PayPal e-check take approximately 5 days to clear.

SHIPPING CHARGES - I try to reflect the most accurate cost, including materials, into the quoted shipping prices. Should your amount total a price substantially higher than the final calculation at the time of shipping, most specifically in the case of multiple items purchased at one time, the difference will be refunded to you via PayPal at my discretion.


Domestic U.S. shipping will be through the good folks at the United States Postal Service (USPS). Items are sent via either Media Mail, First Class Mail or Priority Mail, depending on the weight and size of the package. Should you desire a service that is a bit speedier, please contact me PRIOR to making your purchase so I may provide you with an accurate quote.


Do not despair! If your country is not listed at the bottom of each item's page, just send me an Etsy conversation via the contact link on my shop’s home page. Please include your location to obtain a shipping quote and determine insurance availability or any possible customs restrictions. Please note that any customs fees or requirements by an individual country at the buyer’s end are the responsibility of the buyer. You are free to place the item(s) you desire into your shopping cart while awaiting a quote. Please note that if you use this shopping cart option to hold your merchandise and no inquiry about shipping is made within two days, it will be considered a form of non-payment; the transaction will be canceled and the items will be returned to the shop.

Delivery confirmation and insurance are not available for international orders.

RECYCLING - Whenever possible, I like to use packaging that incorporates recycled materials. Please try to re-use any boxes or shipping items you may receive to help conserve resources!
Refunds and Exchanges
Vintage and antique items are objects that have been loved in a previous life. Scratches, dents, patinas, and other signs of wear are common. I clean each find as best as possible and try to present any of these markings and signs of love upfront in the listings. Because of this, all items are sold as-is and all sales are final, no exchanges.

There are no refunds for the following:

-- Incorrect shipping address on your Etsy transaction (Remember… Items are shipped to the address specified on Etsy, NOT PayPal!)

-- Packages that would not fit in your mailbox and/or that were taken back to the post office or other who-knows-where location

-- Someone intercepted your package when it was delivered and was too inconsiderate to tell you

-- Postal service delays: Amazingly, some items shipped within North America (U.S. - Canada - Mexico) can sometimes take up to 14 days to arrive at your door. While this is rare, please allow for the full 14 days to pass before contacting Monday Pie about your transaction. After that time, I will gladly work with you on the issue.

-- Loss or improper package handling during transit, once the item has left our possession

-- Damage or misuse after receipt of the item

-- Customs charges or other related issues on the buyer’s end

-- Buyers' remorse, despite the item being properly described on the shop site (Example: deciding that you have changed your mind about wanting the item, or the item no longer works with your décor)

RETURN TO SENDER - Should your package find its way back to us from the post office marked “Return to Sender” because an incorrect address was provided, an attempt will be made to contact you for correction or an alternate address. Your package will be happily re-sent, however, initial shipping charges will not be refunded and new charges to ship your item a second time will be applied.

My ultimate goal is to make you happy and I will do everything in my power to have you completely satisfied with your transaction. If you are not happy with your purchase because of an error on behalf of Monday Pie, I will gladly issue a refund. For clarification, an error on Monday Pie’s behalf consists of the following:

-- The item was incorrectly described and therefore did not meet your expectations (example: the item was described as yellow but the item you received was blue)

-- The item was shipped to a location that was not indicated on your Etsy transaction or to a secondary location that was expressed in writing

For all other concerns, please contact me within 48 hours of item receipt for assistance. Let's hug it out!

Please note that unless specifically mentioned, I cannot guarantee that an item will or will not be functional. The majority of pieces on this site are sold with the intent of being for display only. I do not make any claim to be an expert on the use or repair of these items.

One of the things that I love most about having this vintage shop is reading all the stories and history behind an item. If you feel that any description or reference I have presented is inaccurate, please let me know! For my own benefit and that of my customers, I want to present the most accurate information.

It is my hope that items you purchase from my shop add a little piece of flair to your home. As the infamous and unknown "They" say, if you're happy with your transaction, I’d love for you to spread the word about Monday Pie. If you're unhappy with your transaction, please let ME know so I can help you. Positive feedback is always appreciated here on Etsy and lets me know the package arrived safely in your hands, as well.
