I have been using the wool cover for a few months now! I love the cover! It is my first experience with wool and my first experience with cloth diapering of any sorts. I use these as a cover over my son's overnight diaper that he frequently leaks out of....I may have measured a little generously so they do fit a little big, but I think that is my fault! Occasionally his jammies still get a little wet (probably from being too big), but for the most part this keeps our jammies dry. As we start potty training....these will be great to put over training pants (I definitely plan to use cloth training pants)! Seller very responsive with prompt service! Thanks

These are awesome! The diapers keep my heavy wetter dry overnight. The liner is super soft. If you have a chunky baby, message her, because you may want to order a size bigger.

About

The Monkey Bunns Story

I am a WAHM and am trying to help ease the burden from my husband who is a graduate student PhD candidate. I started cloth diapering my son after MUCH research. I then started trying SEVERAL different brands so I could eventually make the "perfect" cloth diaper. My son has battled reflux his whole young life and I was SO sick of going through 3-4 burp cloths or flat cloth diapers per feeding. I came up with a wonderful solution. I keep coming up with new ideas for baby and mama items so add me to your favorites and check back frequently.

I began Monkey Bunns in August 2008 with making diaper cakes while I perfected the Monkey Bunns diaper. While I'm not currently sewing these still remain our favorite pocket diaper. Monkey developed a weird medical condition when he was a little over a year old that his urine literally burned his skin. We started using wool and prefolds exclusively and I loved them so much that Kangaroo has pretty much been in prefolds and wool (and some PUL covers) since he was out of his newborn fitteds. I began knitting to make covers for Monkey and as I practiced more and more I started to make a really great product and started to offer them in my store. Now I pretty much exclusively offer hand knits. Rest assured your purchases are handmade by me unless otherwise stated!

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
Payment expected within 24 hours. I will generally ship within 3 business days unless otherwise noted (or I will email you at your contact email if I'm unable to ship in that time). All items come from a smoke free and pet free home and are washed in a lightly scented wool wash before they come to your home (unless otherwise noted). If you are unhappy for any reason please contact me first so that I have the opportunity to try and help before leaving negative feedback. Please be sure to always be supervising baby when using items with buttons or drawstrings, I do my best to sew these well but with enough effort nearly any baby can dislodge these. Monkey Bunns cannot be held responsible for any incidents that happen with buttons, strings, etc.

Customs: Deposit is required before beginning a custom order. Communication is key-I like to make sure that I make exactly what you want so please be sure to return emails quickly and I will do the same.
Shipping
Insurance is required and included in the price of the item. Shipping is calculated to the best of my abilities but is based on zip code and I will refund overage if there is a gross discrepancy. I currently am only offering shipping within the US.
Refunds and Exchanges
Returns are not accepted for pooling or similar cosmetic issues. I do my best to prevent chunks of pooling but they do happen sometimes. I inspect all items before they go out to be sure they are free of snags or other cosmetic issues. If you feel you need to return an item please contact me first, I generally do not accept returns unless there is something wrong with the item.
Additional policies and FAQs
If you don't see an item that you want let me know! I can probably make it for you! Just ask!

If you must cancel your order please do so within 24 hours. Due to Paypal's restructure of fees I must retain $0.20 of anything that is refunded. If it is a custom order I will keep a 20% deposit for my fees. If your order has already shipped you will not be able to get a refund. Please email me with questions. PLEASE read descriptions!

Washing instructions for 100% wool woolies: I recommend getting a good wool wash with lanolin in it or using Eucalan or a gentle wool wash and pure lanolin (like 100% lanolin nipple cream). With a wool wash you add the amount the manufacturer recommends and run warm to hot water to make milky looking water and then add cool water to make the water in your sink or pail room temperature. Place items in and gently squeeze water through (remove any waste first and gently wash with a lanolin wash bar to remove stains). Let sit for at least an hour but up to over night in a place away from baby. Squeeze out excess water gently and roll up in a lint-free towel. Lay flat to dry. *If your item has reds in it you may want to stick with an unscented wool wash as scents seem to make reds run in my experience*

Washing instructions for non-wool or superwash items: Lanolin wash isn't necessary but I do recommend a gentle wash like Eucalan. Wash similar to woolies but no need to soak. You may want to rinse especially if baby has sensitive skin. Lay all items flat to dry unless otherwise noted. Superwash items may be washed in the washer and laid flat to dry but for the best life for your item hand washing is recommended (and it's quick and easy). If you do machine wash please use a mesh garment bag. Making a purchase constitutes agreement that you have read my policies. If you have any questions please contact me first.
