Despite my niece’s insistence that my fondness for this artwork is based on its admitted resemblance to the family dog, it has other fine attributes including its vibrant ghostliness, its historical immediacy, its engaging coolness and the fact that it is beautiful. It was packaged carefully and shipped promptly, but even if it hadn't been, it would still be beautiful.

Monkeysize saves his sanity
After my pop died I did a lot of thinking. He had always wanted to be an artist but, due to his responsibility to his family he followed the path of work, tedium and frustration. He always encouraged me to avoid that path at all cost. I was working a 9 to 5 office job, making money and paying the bills, being a good worker bee but, realized time was slipping away. The things I wanted to devote time to were being swept away due to work and exhaustion. I decided that I was going to be much happier being poor and creative than to continue working for the man so, I got out of my work situation, went back to my part time pizza cooking job and started playing music again as well as taking my art more seriously. It hasn't been easy but, it beats the alternative. Someday when I am on my deathbed I will look back without regret to the day I decided to give up the traditional life for that of an artist.
A lover of making things, whether they be songs, stories, characters or pieces of art. I learned mid life that we have it easy here in the first world and therefore should take advantage of our time and work at the things that bring us joy.
