Announcement   Hello and welcome to my shop, Monokraum. I am a London-based architect who enjoys spending much of my spare time carving and gouging away at a piece of linoleum. My prints tend to convey my love for cityscapes and the beautiful buildings that populate them.

All the linocut images have been meticulously hand carved, inked and hand pulled (printed by hand with a baren, without the aid of a printing press). Each print produced is unique due to the hand printing process. All works are numbered and signed at the base of the image.

Since the launch of Monokraum in March 2014 I have participated in the following pop-up shop events where I have sold my prints:

- Creative Clerkenwell's Leather Lane Pop-up shop 17 May-3 June 2016 (Clerkenwell Design Week Edition) @ 87 Leather Lane

About

Monokraum : Hand printed / Hand pulled Linocuts

Having studied and spent most of my professional career as an architect in London. I am fascinated by the history and human stories that inhabit each corner of this great city.

A keen model maker in paper and clay, I gave photo etching a try two years ago then moved onto learning the basics of linocutting in the summer of 2013 and I haven't stopped carving into lino since! After much encouragement from friends and colleagues I decided to launch Monokraum, my very own online shop, in March 2014.

The subject matter of many of my linocuts tend to stem from my favourite things or whatever catches my eye and deserves to be remembered and documented.

Since the launch of Monokraum, I have participated in the following pop-up shop events where I have sold my prints:

- We Built This City Summer pop up shop 21 May - 21 Aug 2015 @ 56-57 Carnaby Street, London
http://www.webuilt-thiscity.com/

- Creative Clerkenwell's Christmas Pop-up shop 16-23 December 2014 @ Craft Central
http://www.creativeclerkenwell.com/christmas-pop-up-shop-2014/

- Made in Clerkenwell Open Studios 27-29 November 2014 @ Goldsmith's Centre

- Creative Clerkenwell's Souvenir Pop-up shop @ Craft Central: Aug 5-10 2014
http://www.creativeclerkenwell.com/souvenir-pop-up-shop-and-showcase/

When not at work or holding a carving tool in hand, I am most likely to be found in the audience in one London's countless theatres enjoying a show!
