Hi there! I am MV Vogel, owner/designer of The Blackbird Creative Co.

This Etsy shop opened in January 2009 as Monster Cards by MV - which was founded in an effort to create the most perfectly awkward line of Valentine’s Day greeting cards EVER. I joined creative forces with my husband, Pete, who is the brains behind our puns and also (thankfully) handles production/order fulfillment.

After peddling our wares for the last decade, it became time for a rebirth and rebrand to properly reflect the numerous creative projects we have, which combine graphic design, illustration and photography. This shop is a place to share our ideas and the things we love the most, in the hopes others will enjoy our efforts or at the very least, get a laugh.

We are currently based on the East Coast with time split between NJ and ME. Maine is our muse and source of artistic inspiration. The photos for sale in this shop are part of a series called Maine State of Mind (follow along on Instagram @MEstateofMind), where we travel the rocky coastline in search of adventures and photo-worthy scenery.
