See ya then!

Hi! I'm Sandra but most people call me Sandy. My best friends call me Spax and my husband calls me Sandhawk. I know, romantic right?

I'm an illustrator and maker of things. I have been drawing for as long as I remember... the older I get the more childish my drawings look, so I figure I should be totally scribbling in a few years.

When I was little I wanted to be a vet and a writer, both part time jobs. I constantly wrote books about animals, illustrating them and then binding them with leftover wallpaper we had from the 70's and 80s.

My dog Sooner was the first love of my life. We got her when I was 10 and she was 4. I spent most of my time with her and in one hot afternoon, with just one bag of Oreos and nothing else to do, I taught her to sit, stay, rollover, and undo my velcro shoes. My obsession with animals has expanded to children as well, particularly my own who happen to be the cutest in the world. (No, I'm not just saying that, it's actually true. Ask anyone.)

My work still tends to focus on animals and their habitats, but since becoming a mom my work has found it's way onto many products for children like wall art, (including decals!) toys, and stationery.

I live in Montreal with my husband and our two little kids. All my illustrations and products are drawn and printed by hand RIGHT HERE! (Well, here in Montreal. Not on my couch, where I am sitting right now.)

Please have a look around my site and drop me a line. I love getting emails from you lovelies.
