"Okay so this isn't a super fancy picture of a book being perfectly bound but it IS a real insight into the process of binding - the accidental tearing of a carefully folded and trimmed signature..! I mourned for 5 whole minutes"
"This bountiful batch of chonky goodness is ready and available for you and all your sketchbook needs! Each one is finished to the highest standard I can possibly give it, and best of all - is completely unique!"
"Two of the books in this photo that I took after they were freshly bound are currently on sale for 20% off! I've popped a few other bits on sale too. Go check them out!"

Made with Passion, Honesty and Bone-Dry Humour

I guess this all started back in 2010 when I packed myself off to study Book Arts at university - young, dewy-eyed and bushy-tailed. It's where I learned to bind books for the first time ever and fell in love with it, in spite of it being a pretty small aspect of our course.
Cut to 10 years later and although I'd made a few books here and there I'd not really taken my skills anywhere - then all the covid madness hit, I got furloughed and in the giant, collective pause that was Lockdown 2020 I had the space to rediscover my passion for making books and boxes, and to realise a new one; paper-making.

In most aspects of my life I get really excited about being resourceful with the materials I have around me and I carry this idea into the things I craft (a lot of the items you'll find in my shop incorporate recycled paper signatures, and covers made from sheets & rolls that have been languishing at the bottom of my own personal paper Everest for some time). This passion carries into my hand-made paper where I take old receipts, junk mail, used envelopes, ruined books and tatty old magazines and turn this waste into something beautiful and useable. Some of this paper I sell in packs of sheets and some I use to make books. Either way, each of the items I create is one-of-a-kind and made to the highest quality I can make it.

I try by best to do everything that I do with honesty and bone dry humour. I share a lot of my processes and ramblings over on my Instagram where you'll get a much clearer idea of what kind of person I am (quite nice, bit daft, occasionally sweary) and what exactly goes into each of my creations. If you want to keep up with what I'm working on right now and/or fancy some lightly entertaining content I'd love it if you came on over and said hello.
