5 out of 5 starsBeautiful. I like that these aren't gummed. I have had trouble in the past with gummed plates that messed up the picture in front. Now I like to use ungummed book plates with school glue sticks.

Our etsy shop started as a way to sell when not at our local Bookfest.
Christine (whose maiden name is Valentine) founded Moon Moth Press over 20 years ago for her artist's books. Many of those one-of-a-kind pieces incorporated old book covers (often found by her friend David).
In years past David would make cards for Chris with old book text peeking out from behind the images.
Now they make cards together (and she complains that he no longer sends her any). And they make "reconstructed books" into journals and albums ... what else to do with all those beautiful (but tattered) volumes and the boxes & boxes of Victorian ephemera they've accumulated over the years?

Moon Moth Press is two people, two best friends, two neighbors. She is retired from teaching book arts and printmaking at one university. He teaches writing, quantitative research methods, and even a course on Love at a different university.
Shop policies
We use high-quality, deckle-edged Strathmore cards and envelopes for our products. You can find cheaper stock, but you can't find better stock. Large cards measure 5 inches by 6 7/8 inches (with matching envelopes 5 ¼ inches by 7 ¼ inches). Small cards measure 3 ½ inches by 5 1/8 inches (with matching envelopes 3 5/8 inches by 5 ¼ inches).

We ship our books priority mail for domestic orders.

Or if you'd like multiple cards with the same image, we can scan a collage and make cards with the prints.
A few of our art papers do include flower petals or other organic materials. Some countries have restrictions about importing such items.
