Announcement   READY TO SHIP!! SHIPS SAME DAY OR NEXT DAY
Moonstar Pottery is a one-person studio (that's me!) selling contemporary pottery for over 20 years.

Everything I make is either thrown on the wheel or hand-built from white stoneware and fired in a gas kiln.

My functional work includes lots of dinnerware, vases, platters, cups and I make all my glazes which are lead-free, microwave, dishwasher safe and intended for everyday use.

The Traditional Wet Shave community are some of my biggest customers. My men's shaving scuttles are a big hit here on Etsy and I love to think of all those guys starting their day off with a Moonstar Pottery scuttle.

My other body of work are wall tile hangings and vases which have a distinctive decoration know as mocha diffusion. This process is done with other clay and colorants while the piece is still wet.
The tile work is all mounted on wood with a waterproof epoxy and ready to hang.
Visit www.moonstarpottery.com for more information.

About

Full time Potter from Full time Musician

My formal training and "corporate" background is in music. With a masters in music, flute is my instrument, I became the Music Librarian at the Houston Grand Opera. An exciting and rewarding gig.

I started taking clay classes for fun and just kept getting more and more into it. After many years of study with a studio potter I was ready to start out full time on my own.

My move here to Chicago with my husband and daughter was a good opportunity to set up a studio and devote my days to the clay.
I have never looked back.

I've been working with clay for over 20 years. I'm lucky to have my studio in my home, so the commute is unbeatable. I love connecting to my customers on a one-to-one basis and helping them find just the right piece for their home.

Shipping
I almost always ship USPS priority mail. Less time in transit = less chance of damage.
I bubble wrap and pack in peanuts or crushed paper. I have the neighbors trained to save all their packing materials for me, so any of those non-environmentally sound packing peanuts are being re-used rather than thrown away.
I try to ship out within 2 days of your order.
INTERNATIONAL BUYERS -Buyer is responsible for any additional fees that may be charged at customs.
Refunds and Exchanges
Any damage should be reported immediately for refund or replacement.
Additional policies and FAQs
Custom orders are welcome when they are in the realm of my work. Currently accepting wholesale orders.
