Nerd Clutter Bohemian Teahouse Jungle!
Hi everyone! My name is Lauryn Yovino, formerly of the Etsy Shop Snowflake Hoops (R.I.P) why did you close your old shop some of you may ask. Fear not! I will explain! In the words of Marie Kondo it "no longer sparked joy." So with that I took some time for myself to really look inward and ask myself the important questions about what I was doing and why I was doing it.
Essentially everything I do is about inspiring people to surround themselves by things that make them smile. In my journey as an artist I've played with multiple mediums, but have found the most joy and reward from illustrating cute, whimsical drawings that inspire others to laugh, smile, and just say "Awwwww!!!"
Originally from NYC I decided in 2017 to take the leap and fulfill a long standing dream of mine and move to California. I now live in a converted Steel Mill in Oakland, Ca. While it has not always been easy I feel grateful for following through with my dreams. Since moving out to California I have fallen madly in love with plants. I love watching them grow, one of my favorite things is finding succulents that have been trampled or have fallen from their mother plant and saving them by water propagation. There is nothing more fulfilling to me than knowing I saved a plant that would have died otherwise.
I created Moonstruck Botanica to share my love of plants, kitchy thrift store finds, and my quirky, nerdy artwork with the world. My goal? To make you feel inspired and put a smile on your face.
