Even more beautiful in person than the photos. I didn't realize it would be 3D with textures. The colors are beautiful and the Wave even has an iridescence

Love, love, love her ocean themes and her talent! You will not go wrong purchasing from her. Looking forward to buying more in the reef series to accompany my reef tank. Love what she does incorporating unique mediums into her work such as sand, stone, glass etc. Simply outstanding!!

I am so happy to have a reminder of the ocean in my house. I bought three different Surfing Wave paintings from Magda and had them professionally framed. They turned out beautifully! Magda provided very quick shipping and wonderful service. Thank you Magda!

About the Art
My art is a snapshots of, landscapes, figures, nature, sea and its biology, transitioning into elements of color and dimension. Creating a virtual aquarium or landscape of a living picture, for the viewer to enjoy. By using areas of thick paint rising off the canvas, allowing contrast and interaction with our living space. The canvas become a sculpture with paint. Layering paint and natural light affect how the light casts its own shadows on the canvas from the paint dimension. This gives the feeling of the canvas coming to life. The paintings take on the look and feel of oils sometimes. In addition I sometimes use mixed media, (Fired Clay, tree bark, glass and weaved material, coffee grounds, sand etc.) to bring texture to the forefront. Use of outlines and thicker paints on parts my canvas are inspired by Van Gogh, and Wayne Thiebaud’s cake-like applications of paint and vivid complementary colors. Feel the Art.

About the Artist
My inspiration for painting came alive as a runner. On my runs, I would observe the color and textures of my surroundings. Envisioning architecture, nature and movement in paint. Vivid colors, intricate structures, and life in action became my passion. Being born and raised in the Chicago area, I frequented arboretums, the Shedd Aquarium, local museums with my camera as my notebook. My Track and Field Accomplishments (Four Time All-American), allowed me to fuel my passion for painting. It earned me a scholarship to the University of Wisconsin -Parkside, in Kenosha, WI. Achieving my BFA, majoring in Painting. It gave me the opportunity to travel and compete throughout the US while taking Notes and photos of my journeys. After graduation I worked for several years as a graphic and commercial artist all the while doing commissioned works in various paint mediums. Then marrying and spending time in Rome, Florence, Venice, and Budapest Hungry and finally moving to “The Dreamer’s State”, Oregon, I reestablished my painting career and my own studio. Several works have been sold to private collections.
