Make Art, Have Adventures

I first started making zines after roadtripping across the US, spouting unsolicited wilderness knowledge at my ever-patient traveling companion. After our fourth night in Yosemite National Park, she suggested I write all this stuff down instead of bothering her about it. So I did.

A couple years later, after publishing a few zines in the isolation of my bedroom, I got connected with the cool kids of the DC Zinefest and became and organizer. Since then I've been having a good old time tabling at zinefests, organizing our own, and making ever more zines.

So if I were to drop more unsolicited advice on all y'all, it would be this: be brave, be kind, make art, have adventures.

Moose Lane is an artist, writer, craftster, and all-around outdoorslady. She has the mouth of a sailor, but she's a canoeist at heart. As her name implies, she is in fact a moose. She can't keep straight what city she's living in now.

Additional policies and FAQs
The info on this page is for zines and as-is (as-are?) listings. Custom orders play by their own set of rules, which will be included in the description of those listings, or that I will share with you when you request a custom order.

Please please please convo me before placing an order on a custom item! I want to chat with you and make sure we have everything settled before we go throwing money at each other.

I travel a lot for the job that pays my bills (and which I love, I'll be fair), which may create delays in processing orders. I will do everything I can to keep my shop running smoothly and let customers know before purchasing if such delays may be expected.

In keeping with vegan and environmental ethics, all items in my shop are either vegan or recycled (or both!). I use no new animal products, but may occasionally use recycled animal-based materials (such as wool knits or felts I find in thrift shops). All items will be clearly marked as to their vegan and recycled contents. Any items containing Organic, FSC-certified, or other such materials will be noted as well.

Thanks for visiting!
