I love channeling apothecary traditions of old and using healthy natural ingredients to creating glowing, moisturized skin and well pleased noses.
Mostly I try to use fresh, and sometimes organic herbs and botanicals. As often as I can, I use some cut straight from my garden earlier that day.
My soaps are all hand molded, so some minor inconsistancies are to be expected, but I strive to be as consistant as possible and maintain a high quality to my products.

US postal service. Individual soaps are wrapped in cloth and tied with ribbon, gift sets are placed on a recycled carboard back to protect them during shipping and then wrapped in cloth and tied with ribbon. Gift sets also have a card listing varieties included.
Refunds and Exchanges
If I send you the wrong soap or you have some sort of reaction, I'll send you another soap on the house. If you simply change your mind you can exchange it for store credit if the soap has not yet been used.

What's the difference between fragrance oil and essential oil?

Essential oils are distilled directly from a plant and highly concentrated. They can have health benefits as well as their ability to impart fragrance (of course I cannot treat or diagnose any illness). On the other hand fragrance oils are made using a blend of natural and sometimes artificial ingredients to mimic a natural scent.
I use both of these in my soap making for various reasons. Essential oils have many obvious benefits and if one of my solid perfumes is made entirely with essential oils it will be designated "All Natural." However, essential oils can be too strongly concentrated for pregnant and nursing mothers as well as infants (cats can't metabolize them either if you are interested). Certain essential oils are also incredibly expensive. Rose, for example, can be over $100 an ounce. In order to keep costs down for my customers, I may, in this case, substitute a fragrance oil. I buy from reputable dealers that sell consistant products and pthalate free fragrances.

When/how will my order ship?
I usually ship within 2-3 business days of recieving an order. Holidays, my load as a full time college student, and the time of day I recieve your order may effect exactly when it is sent. If I recieve it in the evening and don't have a class early the next morning it may be shipped out the very next day.
I send via the US Postal service and try to use as much recyclable materials to pack as possible. I avoid plastics as much as possible. Soaps will be wrapped in either cotton or unbleached muslin and tied with a ribbon. Solid perfumes arrive in a 1 ounce tin, lip balm in an approx. 1/3 an ounce tube, Aftershave in a 4 oz Boston brown glass bottle, etc, etc.

Why Goat's Milk/Cow's Milk?
I use both of these compounds due to the creamy texture they supply to soap and the moisturizing properties they provide for the skin. There is plenty of research on the subject out there. Goat's Milk especially, is said to help balance the Ph level of skin and make it less vulnerable to atmospheric contaminants.

Do accept custom orders?
Yes, I love them. If you want to place a large order it's best to do so in the summer months or around the winter holidays simply because that is when my academic obligations are lightest. Also keep in mind that soaps should cure for at least two weeks, so placing your order at least a month before you need it it probably best. You can request multiples of any of the varieties in my shop or inquire about a blend you'd like that I may not be currently selling. Mini soaps make great favors for weddings, showers, and parties. Convo me if you're interested.

Are you single?
Yes. It's a crazy world isn't it?
I like poetry readings, indie-folk music, and long strolls around the cemetery. I write at odd hours of the day and night, perform at Renaissance Festivals, and drink coffee a bit too often. I also dream of running off to live in the remote country side raising chickens and barn cats. If this sounds good to you, maybe we should talk.
