Colorful, Quirky, and Animal-Loving!

I love old things, especially when they're colorful and unusual-- and if it features an animal or floral motif I am in heaven! I especially love chalkware, vintage art, and "everyday" types of vintage items & paper ephemera. I feel that everyday "disposable" items from the past that manage to survive to present day give a very special peek into what it was like to live in another era.

Returns and exchanges
I try to include all information possible in my listings, and am particularly careful with vintage items. I am always happy to provide more info or take more pictures--just ask!

If an item arrives damaged or does not arrive, please contact me right away. I will request pictures of the damage and if the item doesn't arrive I will be able to track it for you in the US, and in some international countries (for more info on this see "Shipping Policy" above).

If you are unhappy with your purchase (although it was as described), refunds are accepted for the cost of the item, minus transaction fees (about 3%, depending on whether you paid via Paypal or Direct checkout) upon return of the item in original condition. I'm sorry, but shipping is nonrefundable.

***If you want to return an item, please contact me first to let me know. You must ship the item back to me within 30 days of receipt in order to be refunded for the cost of the item as outlined above.***

Custom order return policy will be determined on a case by case basis prior to sale.
I am happy to create reserved listings and can give you an exact shipping cost for your item(s), please just convo me prior to purchase with the shipping destination zip code. For information on International Shipping please see "Shipping Policy", below.

Once I create a reserved listing for you, I greatly appreciate if the purchase is made within 24 hours. If the purchase is not made within 3 days and I haven't heard from you at all, I will need to take the item(s) off reserve.
US shipping cost listed in each description is an estimate from here to the west coast. If you live closer than that your actual shipping cost may be less than what is listed, and I will promptly refund you the difference if it is $1+. I combine shipping on multiple items and can also give you an exact postage cost if you contact me before ordering.

I can only ship to the address listed in your Etsy and/or Paypal account that shows up on the receipt. If the item is to be a gift, please make sure to change the shipping address before purchase and include a note that the item is to be a gift.

I recycle packaging as often as possible to reduce waste. In my most fragile packages I use biodegradable peanuts made from corn starch (they dissolve in water--hurray!) and sometimes recycled styrofoam blocks or foam wrap. I do use lots of bubble wrap and tape.

Postage for all US shipments will be created through Etsy (or Paypal) and will include delivery confirmation, unless stated otherwise in the listing. I ship via USPS First Class if the item is eligible in weight and size, otherwise I ship via USPS Parcel Select (or Media Mail, if applicable). If you prefer Priority or Express mail let me know, I can send you a quote.


The customer is responsible for supplying the correct shipping address and for picking up the package at the post office if the post office requires it. If I receive a returned package from the post office, even though I shipped exactly to the address given in the order, I may only refund the cost of the item minus all shipping fees if the item is returned in original condition.


I ship Internationally via USPS First Class Mail for everything that is less than 4lbs and otherwise meets the First Class requirements. If an item is over 4lbs or otherwise does not qualify for First Class shipping, then it will have to ship Priority or Express which is substantially more expensive than First Class. If an international shipping price is not listed for a particular item you are interested in that means the item can't be shipped via First Class. If you are interested in having it shipping via Priority (at least $50 base price) please contact me.

Be sure you know your country's customs policies BEFORE purchasing any item. Your country may ban certain items (even the most innocuous of things!), so that you would not be able to receive your package. I will not be able to refund you in those cases.

Customs duty charges and related fees are the responsibility of the buyer. If you are unsure whether an item you purchase from the US will be charged customs or other fees, please contact your post office. Should you refuse a package because of duty fees that may be associated with it, or for any other reason, you are responsible for the full order price and shipping costs for the order. Please contact your customs office for information about additional fees that pertain to your country.
