Gotham Designs is a custom-clothing line dedicated to providing fabulous and unusual clothing unavailable anywhere else.

We pride ourselves on a high standard of workmanship, and we use sewing techniques learned from years of working with haute couture museum pieces.

Accepted payment methods

Returns and exchanges
Items may be returned for a full refund if they are damaged or do not accurately fit the item description. All returned items must be unworn. Items that are worn will not be refunded, regardless of condition.
Payment
We prefer paypal, but will accept checks or money orders. Please allow five extra business-days for checks to clear. Payment is due in full before we begin work, except in extraordinary circumstances when there is an unusual fabric request, in which case the buyer will pay a down-payment of half of the estimate with the balance due before shipping. You may cancel an order for a full refund within 48 hours of order placement.
Shipping
We ship USPS Priority for all destinations. We will insure all orders above $150. Orders below $150 may be insured at additional expense. You may request Express shipping and delivery confirmation. International customs must be paid by the recipient to their home country.
Additional policies and FAQs
Please allow 1-2 weeks for delivery of custom items.

My "Green" Efforts: I have been a dedicated environmentalist since I received my first National Geographic World magazine at age 6.

I believe in localism. I purchase nearly all of my supplies locally (which is easy since I live in NYC!). I take public transportation or walk to stores, and use mail order as little as possible.

I believe in making and buying high-quality items, and repairing those items when they break rather than discarding them.

I believe in taking small steps in reducing waste. I recycle all of my textile scraps at the NYC Greenmarket. I recycle all of my pattern paper scraps through the city. I buy used whenever possible, including thrift-store zippers, buttons, and even fabric.
