A great answer to the problem of the ninth day of Christmas gift for my granddaughters. Now if I could just find an appropriate ninth day of Christmas gift for my grandsons. Thanks for a great idea and a great product.
Mountain Brook - A Family Tradition
My grandparents, Dave and Nancy Bjorkgren, began Mountain Brook when my mother was very young. She grew up, as many Bjorkgrens before her, surrounded by woodworking talent and learned to pick up the trade. Other family members along the way have contributed their skills to the family business as well.
As the years progressed, my brilliant grandfather followed many dreams and ideas, but always kept Mountain Brook going to some extent. It became smaller as he delved into other areas of occupation, but never disappeared altogether. It was his pet project, the one he kept closest to his heart.
When he passed away, it was difficult for us to carry on the company at first. But now, after Mountain Brook's extended vacation, we are ready and more excited than ever to be back in business. We honor his memory by continuing his work and know that he would be proud to know it is still running.
Now, the company consists of my mother, Corrie, my grandmother, Nancy, and myself. Corrie is the skilled scroll saw artist who cuts our silhouettes and other products. Nancy is our talented painter and steady shipping department. I shall attempt to fill my grandfather's role as the general administrator. He taught me so much and I look forward to the challenge.
We at Mountain Brook are so happy to be up and running again. We hope you all enjoy our products as much as we enjoy making them!
Shinnelle, Mountain Brook

Nancy Bjorkgren began Mountain Brook with her husband, Dave. She is not only the owner, but also the artistic talent. She paints all of our products. When they are finished, she delicately packages them and ships them off to their new homes.
Customer Service, Marketer, Administrator
Shinnelle is the one you'll see online. She handles the store, social media, and administrative details. If you ever have any comments or questions, she is the one you can expect to hear from.
Corrie does the handiwork. She is the incredible scroll-saw artist that creates our products. With her patience and steady hand, she carefully cuts each piece for you to enjoy.
