About

Hey there! I'm Mo, the madwoman behind the minis.

When I was a just a wee Mo, my parents built me a dollhouse version of the cozy tree home of Miss Suzy, my favorite storybook squirrel. It had teeny tiny furniture, hardwood floors, and a little kitchen. I was OBSESSED.

It wasn’t long before I decided to tap into the miniatures market myself, and in grade school I spent a great deal of time trying to persuade my classmates to buy my animal figurines when I should have been paying attention to the math lesson.

The animals had tiny little zippers running up their fat tummies, and in a burst of third grade imagination untethered by the chains of traditional spelling, I dubbed them Zippirs. Sadly, Zippirs failed to become the lucrative animal figurine empire I had envisioned, but luckily, my miniatures obsession has since found a new home, the Mouse Market.

Today, I combine my unhealthy fanaticism, er, love of miniatures with my training as a pastry chef and a graphic designer to create detailed, realistic foods in 1/12 and 1/6 scale. Perhaps one day, when the public is truly ready, I'll reintroduce the Zippirs. In the meantime, though, I hope you enjoy my minis as much as I enjoy making them. Thanks for stopping by!

My name's Mo, and I'm a mini food fanatic (if you hadn't noticed). I love hearing what draws people to tiny food, because there's usually a childhood memory or fun story involved, so drop me a line at info@themousemarket.com--I'd love to hear yours!

Frequently asked questions

Custom and personalized orders

I am happy to create custom orders. Please message me to get started!

Care instructions

To protect the metal findings, please remove jewelry before showering or swimming. When not being worn, keep jewelry in an airtight container (a plastic baggie works just fine) to prevent tarnishing.

The foods are made from polymer clay, which turns into a plastic after baking, so the pieces are water resistant. Avoid leaving the pieces in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as this can cause fading of the polymer clay.

Wholesale availability

I am not currently offering my items at wholesale.
