Shop policies

Last updated on March 14, 2011
Welcome! Thanks for taking the time to read my shop policies. If you'd like to get to know me a little better, you can check out my profile or just shoot me a convo. I love to meet new people and I promise I don't bite. :D

Accepted payment methods

Returns and exchanges
I do my best to describe and photograph my items to represent them fully and accurately. Please contact me within seven days of receiving the item if you have concerns about your new piece. I will happily discuss any concerns you have and proceed with a return if it seems warranted and it is within that time frame. If we do proceed with a return, I will refund the cost of the original item (minus the shipping charge) upon receiving the item -- in new condition -- back from you. You are responsible for the cost of shipping the item back.

Naturally, all jewelry should always be handled with care. Since all of my work is made with fiber materials, please do not submerge your new piece in water. Your item should stand up to everyday wear without problem. I will guarantee it for up to a year from the date of purchase. If during that time something breaks (heaven forbid) & you need it repaired, I will pay the return shipping and repair it for free.

If you have any questions or concerns about your new item, please convo me so that I can try to resolve the issue personally.
Completion of payment is required within three calendar days of purchase. I accept PayPal. You can use your PayPal account or a credit card to pay using this method. You can also pay via e-check through PayPal, in which case your item will not ship until your payment clears.

If you have a coupon code, please wait for a revised invoice from me before completing payment.
I ship to confirmed PayPal addresses, but I can ship to another address at your request. If there is a discrepancy between the address provided by PayPal and the one provided by Etsy, I will not ship your item until you verify which is the correct address. I want your package to arrive safely as much as you do. :)

All items will be sent USPS First Class in a secure bubble mailer. Delivery Confirmation is included in all U.S. shipments. Items going to U.S. destinations will be shipped within 1-2 business days of receiving payment. I ship internationally and do so on Mondays and Fridays. All items are packaged lovingly & with care before shipping, so your shipping charge also includes handling fees. Please let me know if your package fails to arrive; I will look into it with the post office and we can work from there to resolve it.

I offer a flat rate for most international deliveries; if there is a substantial difference between actual shipping + handling charge and what you have paid, I will refund the difference through PayPal. Please note that I declare the full value of all international packages on the customs form, and will not misrepresent the contents due to potential legal repercussions. The buyer is responsible for any and all customs fees.
Additional policies and FAQs
[ Environmental impact. ]

I believe in reducing and reusing as much as I can in my business. I love to reuse gently used mailers whenever I have the opportunity. I do include a printed invoice with each order (so that shipping information is preserved inside the package in case the outside is damaged in transit), but I print my invoices (and shipping labels) on the reverse side of handouts from my M.Ed program. :D Enjoy!

[ Allergy info. ]

All items are made with care in a smoke-free home. I do have kitties, so please keep this in mind if you are severely allergic. All of my items are stored in sealed bags as soon as they're completed to limit exposure to pet hair/dander. I do my best to keep them away from my work area, but it's possible a stray hair may find its way onto the outside of your package.

[ Custom work. ]

If you would like to order a custom piece, feel free to convo me or use the "Request Custom Item" link on my shop's sidebar. I am always happy to work with you to create a piece that really speaks to you. Additionally, please let me know if like what you see but want it in a different color, size, etc. -- I'd love to accommodate you.

I require a 50% deposit for a custom design. Custom items are not returnable.

[ Gift-giving. ]

Jewelry will be sent in a small box suitable for gift-giving. I can giftwrap any item at your request for an additional $2. Just let me know in your notes to seller if you'd like a particular item wrapped, then wait for a revised invoice before completing payment.

[ Feedback. ]

I will leave feedback for our transaction after your prompt payment, once your item is delivered, and after any outstanding concerns have been resolved.

If you choose to leave feedback, thanks in advance! If you do have any problems with your item once it has been received, please don't hesitate to contact me personally so that I can resolve it to your satisfaction.

[ Trades. ]

At the moment I am purusing my Master's degree and it's been a bit of a drain financially. For now, I'm not able to participate in any trades.

[ Miscellany. ]

Some items in my shop may be made to order, and the listings for these items will state that they may vary just slightly from the stock photograph. All made-to-order items are ready to ship within the same timeframe as the rest of my items.
