mrsmouse is taking a short break.
Since autumn of 2014, we have been seeking support and action from Etsy with regards to a disability discrimination complaint we were forced to file against certain Etsy staff.
In the end, after several attempts that all came to nothing, we were forced to lodge a State office complaint (under Disability Access via the Manhattan office) just before Christmas.
As it stands, Etsy seem to be totally disinclined to communicate with us in an accessible format at all and appear not to be responding to the State Dept complaint, since we have received no updates since filing the complaint.
We can only interpret this as a lack of interest on Etsy's part of working properly and including makers like us, who require additional support, so until such time as either the State Dept complaint is resolved, or Etsy decide to take a stand-point on equal access and follow through on it, so that we can be assured that Etsy is compatible with our values, we feel we have to set the Etsy store platform to vacation mode.
Our website, facebook page and ravelry store all continue to do business as normal and we are still honouring all our normal terms and conditions and supplying the same products at the same prices, we just won't be doing that through Etsy until there is a proper resolution.
We are sorry for any inconvenience caused and can assure all our customers that we will get back to you ASAP on any contact through any of our still live platforms.
Thanks so much for your continuing support!
