Our ever evolving story

Chris and I merged his chemistry craft (chemical engineer) with my creative flair and knack for aromatic combinations (massage therapist) to make soap as favors for our wedding in 2010. If you had asked me back then about owning a soap business, I probably would have laughed at you. Well, our hobby fast turned into a small business when our first child was born. Our daughter, Summer, was diagnosed with Down Syndrome and I began to look at life a bit differently. My desire to make artisanal soap provided a means to divert the skillsets into a legitimate purpose of providing a future for our daughter. Mt Lebanon Soap Company aims to teach useful skills to Summer with all the proceeds going into her special needs trust.
