It's taken me forever to get here. I've reinvented myself several times. This latest path is working with yarns, fibers and beads in designing beautiful wearable items. I've designed and knit sweaters, hats, scarfs, mittens, vest jackets and even golf club covers. I also design and make jewelry using whatever I can find and upcycle or recycle whenever I can.

Some of my past reinventions of myself include working with nature and God's gifts in making herbal salves and soaps, inventing and creating Soap on a Brush, and becoming a legal transcriptionist (which I still do).

Living in the mountains of Western NC has been good for all of us. It allowed me to get back in touch with nature and my roots and teach both of my boys about life in the mountains and camping and fishing . Both of my boys are also creative and work with wood, making walking sticks. I have taught them about herbs. They both know how to knit. My older one has also learned how to sew and cook, but his love is working with cars and doing automotive stuff. I'm very proud of both of them for not being afraid to take an interest in and trying their hands at new things. :)

My neighbor, Boots, is a pistol of a lady. She's cantankerous and awesome and you just gotta love her. She's the one that makes all the beatiful beaded suncatchers.
