About

Bringing FUN to the dinner table!

I've always felt that I'm more of a kid at heart. I'm not the refined, fine arts potter who solely throws pots and designs their own glazes. I focus more on creating the things I would like to use, or "play with" in my own home.

My shop started out as a hobby in 2006, when I bought my first kiln off of ebay, which came with a bag or two of clay. It was another year before I even hooked it up to our electric! I had never touched ceramic clay before, or taken any classes. So naturally, I just dove in!

Several books, magazines, and on-line communities later, I stumbled upon a musical instrument called an "ocarina." This flute-like whistle is was led me to start selling. After a friend encouraged me to sell a few through her, I decided to try my hand at a local medieval faire. From there it was only a matter of time before I started making "leather" mugs, skull mugs and dragons to sell online as well.

At this point I have more ideas than time. With four young kids things can get a little crazy around here! But eventually I hope to start creating more fun pieces that will not only serve your food, but get your conversations started, too!

I'm a self-taught potter, having discovered my love of clay after becoming a mom. I'm 34 years old, living in rural Northwestern Pennsylvania with four kids, a husband who has always been my biggest fan, many toys I've kept from my own childhood.

Shop policies

Last updated on February 4, 2011
Mudd Puppy Pottery is currently the sum of two hands and a lot of hard work. I practice my hobby in my kitchen (when the table is clear!) and often take breaks to take care of my four young children. My work definitely has a hand-formed look to it, but I make sure that each piece meets my quality expectations. If you're not happy, neither am I.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Shipping
II try to keep my shipping as low as possible, and if you notice that the shipping charge is less than you payed, keep in mind the packaging materials used to keep your item safe! Usually I can ship within a couple days of ordering, but if you have any questions, let me know. It will be shipped USPS unless you request something else, at which point I would have to recalculate shipping charges.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you are not satisfied with any product, please let me know. I strive to make you happy, and I want to get your feedback! I am sure we can work something out, whether it be a refund, replacement, or otherwise. Just e-mail me any questions or concerns you have.
Additional policies and FAQs
I welcome custom orders and requests, though at this time I would have to make a listing of an item you want (e-mail me if you like something on my page and I can make a custom listing for you), or you can go through the shops Alchemy process (see http://www.etsy.com/help_guide_alchemy_overview.php)

Please allow a minimum of 30 days for creating, drying, firing, and finishing the piece.
