Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. My name is Christine Rosso and I have been making functional pottery for over 17 years. Married mother of three, I have a studio in my home located in the beautiful Hill Country of San Antonio Texas.

Born and raised on a Gentleman’s farm in the Northwest corner of Connecticut with my parents, brothers and French Grandparents, we raised our own animals and had numerous gardens, berry patches, and fruit trees. I loved preparing and "putting up" our harvest with my Mother and Grandmother. It was so rewarding being a part of the journey from field to table. I learned at an early age the satisfaction of preparing and presenting my culinary creations to family and friends using beautiful kitchen accessories and tableware. There is nothing better than the good times with family and friends that are shared around food.

My appreciation of nature, my love of the culinary arts and my passion for clay has inspired my artistic direction into creating functional pottery that has a rustic Country French flavor that I myself use every day. My pieces are sturdy for everyday use and have a rustic sophistication for entertaining and gift giving.

I am a one woman potter and my work is not massed produced. Each piece is individually handmade with my own two hands and will have its own characteristics and personality. No two pieces will ever be exactly alike. Slight variations are to be expected in both glaze and form... a most sought after quality of handmade pottery.

I hope you will find my pottery a lovely compliment to you and your family. I want to inspire you to new epicurean heights and bring together the farm to table lifestyle I've known my whole life.

Welcome to MudFire Pottery... Artisan Pottery for Everyday Living.

I create functional pottery that imparts a rustic sophistication that will be a stylish and functional addition to your kitchen, home, and garden for years to come. The earthy glaze colors I use are found throughout nature and will work well in today's kitchen.

Each piece is thrown on the potter’s wheel and hand built by me in my home studio located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. As a studio potter, my work is not massed produced. I make small batches while paying close attention to the details.

With each piece individually made by my own two hands, it will have its own characteristics and personality, ensuring that no two pieces will be exactly alike. Variations to both glaze and form are to be expected and should not be viewed as a flaw… a most sought after quality in handmade pottery.

GIFTS
If your purchase is a gift, I am more than happy to ship directly to the recipient. In "Notes to Seller" please state recipients address and your sentiments for a complimentary gift card. No invoice or receipt will be included in the package other than your card.

LOCAL

MudFire Pottery accepts Major Credit Cards, PayPal, and Etsy Gift Cards.

All in-stock orders will ship out within 1 - 3 days after an order is paid in full and payment has cleared.

Because your receipts are available electronically, I do not include them with your purchase.

CANCELLED ORDERS
If payment is not made within 24 hours of placing an order, the transaction will be canceled and the item(s) will be re-posted and made available for others to purchase.

If you need to cancel your order, please do so immediately. Once your package is mailed you will be subject to our return policy.

SALES TAX
Per state law, if you reside in Texas, sales tax will be added in addition to the purchase price.

LOCAL PICKUP
Local buyers who wish to arrange a local pickup should use coupon code LOCALPICKUP to avoid being charged shipping costs. I will contact you in an Etsy conversation after your purchase to schedule the pickup.

CUSTOM/PERSONALIZED ORDERS
All custom and personalized orders MUST be paid for, in full, in advance. No work will be started until payment has cleared. Custom and personalized pieces typically take 3 - 6 weeks depending on where I am in the production process. There is NO REFUND on personalized pieces.
Shipping
All in-stock orders are shipped within 1 - 3 business days, Priority Mail via United State Postal Service, to the address provided on your Etsy Order at the time of purchase.

If purchasing multiple items, shipping overages over $1.00 will be refunded.

GIFTS
If your purchase is a gift, I am more than happy to ship directly to the recipient. In "Notes to Seller" please state recipients address and your sentiments for a complimentary gift card. No invoice or receipt will be included in the package other than your card.

PACKAGING
Bubble wrap and peanuts are used for packaging. Recycled shipping materials are used whenever possible.

WRONG ADDRESS/UNCLAIMED/RETURN TO SENDER
Please make sure your address on Etsy is correct and up to date. MudFire Pottery is NOT RESPONSIBLE for shipping to a wrong address given by the Buyer.

Buyer will be responsible for any additional shipping charges due to an incorrect address, return to sender, expired forwarding orders, or for any other reason relating to an incorrect address on buyer's part.

If the package is returned to MudFire Pottery and Buyer chooses not to pay additional shipping to have item resent to a corrected address, a refund for the item only will be forthcoming. There will be no refund on the shipping.

In the event the package is not returned to MudFire Pottery due to an incorrect address by Buyer, NO REFUND of product or shipping will be forthcoming.

If you want package shipped to a DIFFERENT ADDRESS you can change the address at checkout.

*~*~*DOMESTIC SHIPPING*~*~*
Priority Mail is an upgraded shipping service through the United States Postal Service and normally has a 2-3 day delivery and includes tracking and insurance. All orders will be automatically insured for their full amount.

While my packages include insurance, tracking, and delivery confirmation, USPS Priority Mail is a non-guaranteed delivery method offered by USPS. Please visit USPS.com to understand guaranteed delivery options.

MudFire Pottery cannot accept responsibility for any transport delays outside my shop’s control. If I am introducing the delay, I will contact you and work out arrangements. Priority Mail delivery dates are only estimates provided by USPS and are not guaranteed.

SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION
If you are worried about receiving a package from us for any reason, Signature Confirmation is available for an additional $2.45. Once you add an item to your cart and are ready to check out, under 'shipping" there will be a drop down option where you can choose standard shipping or standard shipping with signature confirmation for an additional $2.45 under standard shipping.

OVERNIGHT SHIPPING
**NOTIFICATION IS REQUIRED PRIOR TO PURCHASE**
Priority Overnight Express shipping is available through the United State Postal Service. This is a guaranteed overnight scheduled delivery to most locations, including PO Boxes with delivery 7 days a week. If this shipping is needed, please contact me PRIOR to making the purchase. I will need the delivery zip code to calculate the additional shipping charge.

There will be an additional handling fee of $10.00 in addition to the amount of the upgraded shipping.

LOST PACKAGES
Please keep track of your package with the provided tracking. I have NO WAY of knowing if a delivered item actually never arrived.

If your item's tracking is still showing as undelivered after fourteen (14) days please contact me so that I can start an inquest with USPS about your package.

If your tracking shows "delivered" but you DO NOT have your item, I require notification within 24 hours of tracking showing delivered. This deadline is so I have the best chance of figuring out what happened with the USPS.

I will issue a full refund or a replacement item, your choice, ONLY if USPS rules that the loss was their mistake and are willing to reimburse me under an insurance claim. If USPS rules that they did indeed deliver your package to the address given and your tracking confirms this I am unable to offer a refund or replacement. Signature Confirmation is available to ensure delivery to you for an additional $2.45.

PLEASE NOTE: Shipments for which delivery has been confirmed via USPS tracking are not subject to non-delivery claims.

Please be sure to check for delivery notices under door mats, the bottom of the mailbox and even neighbors. Often times these situations are a matter of miscommunication or a missed notice of delivery attempt.

SHIPPING DELAYS
Please note that the United State Postal Service provides a great service at great prices but sometimes there can be delays in shipping and even loss can occur. This does not happen often but it can. Once an item leaves my shop it is completely out of my hands. I hope that if this ever happens to you that you will be understanding and contact me immediately so I can rectify the situation. Your happiness with our product and service is our number one priority.

Please contact me for a price. I currently ship via United States Postal Service, Priority Mail International to Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Shipping Internationally can take up to eight weeks and in certain instances even longer.

CUSTOMS / DUTY FEES
Orders that are shipped to countries outside of the United States may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and fees levied by the destination country.

The recipient of an international shipment is responsible for paying any and all fees levied by your country before the package is released to you.

Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the recipient; I have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be.

The price listed in the listing is for the product and shipping only. It DOES NOT cover any fees levied by the destination country.

You should contact your local customs office for further information.

When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond my original delivery estimates. All international orders will have full value declared on customs forms - no exceptions.

Refunds and Exchanges
RETURNS/EXCHANGES
At MudFire Pottery our customer's satisfaction is our top priority.

In the event you are unhappy with your order, please contact me WITHIN 7 DAYS of receipt so that we can work together to resolve the issue. I accept returns on purchases that are NOT PERSONALIZED minus original shipping.

I DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS/EXCHANGES ON PERSONALIZED ITEMS

All returns must be authorized first and returned items must arrive back to me in original condition (unused and in original packaging). Returns must be received with 10 days once authorized.

Shipping on returned items is at the buyer's expense. I am not responsible for damage that occurs to item(s) packed by buyers and strongly suggest shipping with tracking and insurance. If the package is received damaged or is lost, no refund will be given.

Upon satisfactory receipt of the return, I will refund your purchase, minus the cost of shipping.

DAMAGES
I take great care in packing my work but in the event your item arrives damaged, you must contact me immediately. I will request that you take photos of the damaged piece along with the packaging and send it to me via e-mail.

After documentation is received, you may choose either a full refund including shipping or another item of equal value and equal shipping cost, your choice.

Documentation may include signing an affidavit confirming the damage or loss and holding onto packaging and damaged item in the event carrier may need to inspect in order to process claim.

I hope that if this ever happens that you will be understanding so I can rectify the situation. Your satisfaction with our product and service is our number one priority.
Additional policies and FAQs
FOOD SAFETY
MudFire Pottery is food safe . All pottery is fired to over 2100 degrees in accordance to specific clay and glaze specifications and it is vitreous and food safe. Never use pottery that is cracked or chipped.

MICROWAVE AND DISHWASHER SAFETY
Our pottery is microwave and dishwasher safe, but use care and good judgment. Dishes in a dishwasher can bang around and are subject to chemicals and large temperature changes. Over time pottery may become affected. If you treat your pottery like fine china and it will last you a lifetime. Delicate pieces should not be put in the dishwasher. Stoneware bakeware is naturally nonstick so a quick soak will remove any baked on food. Use of a scrubby pad is not recommended as over time it may scratch the surface.

OVEN SAFETY
Pieces intended for use in the oven stand up to 375°F/190°C , but never under the broiler. Never put a cold pot in a hot oven, simply warm the food up in the vessel - starting with a cold oven. Thermal shock can crack your pottery.

THE ITEM I RECEIVED DOESN'T LOOK LIKE THE SAME COLOR AS IN THE PHOTOS?
Please keep in mind that every computer monitor is calibrated differently. Slight variations in color, tone and saturation will vary from monitor to monitor.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY POTTERY?

DO YOU USE MACHINES TO MAKE YOUR POTTERY?
I make every piece by hand, one by one and therefore, it will have its own characteristics and personality. I use a potter's wheel to make most of my pottery. I use an electric kiln to fire my pottery. I take great pride in making high-quality pieces for you and your home.

WHY IS MY SET OF POTTERY NOT THE SAME, EACH PIECE IS A LITTLE DIFFERENT?
Due to the nature of handmade pottery slight variations will occur and should be expected in both glaze and form... a most sought after quality of handmade pottery.

Each throwing session and kiln firing create slightly different form and color results. If you are interested in a set of something, please custom order it and it will all be thrown, glazed and fired together, assuring a better match.

THE COLOR OF MY VESSEL IS SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT FROM THE LISTING PHOTO EVEN THOUGH IT'S THE EXACT SAME PIECE, WHY?

Please keep in mind that every computer monitor is calibrated differently. Slight variations in color, tone and saturation will vary from monitor to monitor.
