Announcement    **COVID-19**
To minimise contact I will be posting orders less frequently (1 to 2 times a week) - sorry for any delay in shipping!

Thank you for visiting Mudness Ceramics. If you have any questions please have a look at my FAQ section or get in touch, I’m happy to help.

For multiple items, should there be an extra shipping charge, you will be refunded as soon as your order has been shipped. If you would prefer to pay the exact amount initially, please let me know which items you would like to order together and I will weigh them and create a separate listing for you. The majority of the time I can reduce the shipping cost for you.

Not all items are listed to ship internationally as with larger items, the weight once packaged can cause the shipping to vary significantly. If you would like to order something that is not listed as being shipped to you, please get in touch for a quote.

To keep up to date with me and my work and see behind the scenes you can find me on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and on my website mudnessceramics.com.

Thank you,
Martina :)

About MudnessCeramics

Sales 2,089
On Etsy since 2015

Originally from Austria I moved to Scotland over 20 years ago. I fell in love with the North and the landscape continues to inspire my work every day.

MY BACKGROUND

Originally from Austria, I came to Scotland in 1991 as an apprentice potter working for Lotte Glob in the Far North Pottery in Balnakeil. I previously attended the Keramikschule in Stoob and worked in pottery workshops in Austria & Greece. Inspired by the rugged landscape of the North, I started to develop my own style and opened a shop in Balnakeil Craft Village.

MY WORK

I live and work in Balnakeil Craft Village where I have a small workshop and gallery/shop where I sell my work as well as selling it online through my Etsy store.

I’ve done various commissions for people/places, you can see these on my social media and my website!

MY ETSY STORY

I fell in love with the Highlands and have lived here for over 20 years and have had my business open for more than 10 years.

However, I only opened my Etsy store in the beginning of 2015. I had always been unsure of putting my work online, but with a lot of encouragement from my daughter I set up a Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and finally an Etsy store - and I am so glad I did.

My ultimate goal is to earn a living through Etsy during quiet times in my shop here in Balnakeil Craft Village. The downside to living in such a beautifully remote area is that although the shop can be busy during the season (mainly in Summer) it is quite quiet at all other times. I also realise that unfortunately not everyone has the time to travel up to the Far North, so it is nice to reach a wider audience by selling online.

Keep up to date with all of my news on my Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Do your glazes contain lead?

No! :) All my glazes are completely food safe. I order the majority from Scarva Pottery Supplies.
