Note from shop owner NEW FERMENTATION CROCKS COMING SOON!!!

I'm currently transitioning to a new production process and the fermentation crocks are getting some needed updates and revisions.

They will have a wider opening to accommodate larger handfuls of veggies and a deeper water lock for a larger volume of water.

They will also have a really nice form. It will be extremely elegant without any loss in function.

I just need some time to get everything set up and going but the shop will open again soon!!! Stay tuned.

About

Mudslide Stoneware is owned and operated by Colin Dyck who lives and works in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Colin is a passionate fermentation enthusiast, a farmer, and an artist who creates functional pottery. Through work on wineries, dairies and creameries on the Western Slope of Colorado and in France, Colin gained an appreciation and understanding not only of small-scale sustainable agriculture but also of the art and science of the fermentation process. The search for an ideal fermentation vessel led him to start his own ceramic studio. Each crock is hand thrown on the potter's wheel and represents Colin's artistry and love of efficient functionality. Colin loves the dynamic flavor and health potential that fermentation unleashes and loves to teach others the basics of fermentation. Visit mudslidestoneware.com to learn more!

My ceramic pieces are expressions of my twin loves: beautiful, functional objects + good food. Before becoming a potter, I worked on wineries, dairies and creameries. This passion for fermentation led me to start making my own fermentation crocks.
