The mug is really fantastic! Looks great with the nautical theme in my bathroom. Thanks for an excellent custom item and for the fast service. I'm sure I'll be back.

About

Making Dirty Pots Dishwasher Safe since 2002

Keith Phillips earned a BFA from East Carolina University with a studio focus in printmaking. After college, Keith & Gina blind folded themselves and picked a spot on a map, packed up their stuff and headed to Missoula, Montana. Always painting and drawing, life lead Keith to a career as a designer working for various online companies in the 90’s. With the crash of the Internet, he found himself jobless with a wife & two kids to support. In a moment of serendipity, he was employed as an assistant to ceramic artist Walker Davis, who was once a bum on the streets of Spokane, WA. In addition to the ceramic craft, Walker taught Keith to “live poor”. He bought her old kiln for $200, and started making his own wares. Between pottery, freelance graphic design and creating art in fabrics, bills started to get paid again.

Artist Statement: “Over the years I worked using a variety of methods and processes. The method and process is really what intrigues me as a maker. So it’s natural for me to make functional wares to give my work a purpose and meaning.

Today most pots are thrown on the wheel, but involve a fair amount of handbuilding before being finished. adding layers and layers of embellishment gives the pots depth and pictorial qualities. I use stencils, silkscreen, washes and decals to achieve these patterns and textures. Using a variety of methods to transfer images on pot satisfies my inner printmaker. ”

Shop policies

Hello and welcome to my shop! All pottery is carefully packaged using bubble wrap and peanuts. I use bio-degradeable starch peanuts unless I am re-using peanuts. I also try to use re-used boxes, but some days this isn't always possible since pottery requires a good sturdy box to protect the contents. You can be assured your art work will arrive safely and in the condition you expect.

My goal is to make you extremely happy with your purchase. If for any reason, you are not satisfied with your purchase, please convo me with your concerns and I am sure we can remedy the situation.

If you are happy with your purchase, please feel free to leave feedback. Thanks!

Orders usually ship out the next day and arrive within a week. My son says "getting something in the mail is a lot more exciting than buying it in a store." The truth is what the truth is! Most items listed on Etsy are available for immediate shipment. You will receive a tracking number via your email address once your purchase has shipped.

International customers: please contact me for a quote on the item you would like to purchase. I will then modify the listing so that you can purchase it. I apologize for the inconvenience. Also, any customs or duties charges are your responsibility - I have no way to estimate these charges.

Most orders ship USPS Priority Mail, tracking numbers are always available.
Refunds and Exchanges
I take pride in making sure my customers are extremely happy with their purchase. Although very rare, damage can happen during shipment. If your item arrives damaged please contact me immediately (within 1 week of receipt). I will either refund the price of the item, or offer a similar piece as a replacement and I will pay shipping to you. On damaged items, please keep the box and contents together until I here back from fedex about the claim. If your item was shipped via USPS, unfortunately they require you to handle the claim (on fed ex shipments, I can handle the claim for you).

If the item arrives and is not as described in the item description or you simply would like to return it, you may return it for a full refund (not including shipping charges) or exchanged for something else within 30 days.

In the case of all returns you will be responsible for return shipping charges. Please return in original package as to keep the pottery protected. Please purchase insurance for returns. Your money will be refunded once the piece safely arrives.
