All made-to-order items take about 4-6 weeks. They are handmade from scratch every step of the way. If you are interested why it takes so long... here's a quick run-down of how they are made. They are all either thrown on the wheel or hand-built. When they are dried enough, they get trimmed, cleaned, hand carved individually. And then... it again needs some time for drying slowly so they don't crack. When they are completely dry and no more moisture in the clay. And then here comes the first firing, applying glaze, decoration, finessing, second firing, assembly and finessing. You get the idea. I ship as soon as they come out of kiln.

And you might ask.... 'Why can't you have more items stocked? So I can purchase it right away!'
I am trying... to stock them up as much as I can. Mud to Life is a small shop run by one artist, 'me'! :) I make only small batches of each one. And they sometimes sell out more quickly than other times. I try my best to keep them all available at all times as much as possible behind the scenes!!

International shipping is available! So contact me if you have any questions.
