This is my 12th year of my shop on Etsy, and I am thankful for a great place to offer my work! Finding Etsy online inspired me as well. I quit my day job about 7 years ago and now I live at Work!
My work has progressed from small birdhouses, signs, wooden baskets, etc. to larger Birdhouses personalized with a hand carved tree with a couple's initials wood burned in a heart, and a sign over the door with their name and Est. date. This soon led to enlarging my designs to Wedding Card Box sized Birdhouses.
Much of my progress has been due to offering custom work! I once had a Noah's Ark I offered with animals and a customer asked if I could add a pet to their birdhouse, so I offered these in my shop. Then one day a customer asked if I could make a Dog House Wedding card box with their dog painted on it! Now I've done over 150 of them! My Irish Cottages were custom orders,
I'm thankful to be blessed with my art ability and wood working skills as well. Basically my skills are self taught and I love being an artful woodworker! I strive for Quality!
Everything in my shop is designed and hand made by me alone. I use a table saw, band saw, scroll saw, routers, drillpress, sanders, nail gun, and I use a dremel for carving. And of course Paints and brushes!!!
