Frequently asked questions
Size Tips
1) Please refer to the Size Charts Provided in the listing Photos.
A detailed size chart is available in all listings. It is the buyer's responsibility to select the correct size. If a different size or style is needed, it will need to be purchased.
2) All tutus are made with an ELASTIC waistband and will stretch comfortably 3 inches. I recommend you measure your child's waist and subtract 1 inch for the best fit.
3) Bodysuit sizes (NB - 24 Months only) are comparable to Carters brand
4) All Bodysuits and Tees are Machine Washable 100%
5) Please understand puff sleeve t-shirts are NOT bodysuits.
Care instructions
TUTUS:
Tutus should be spot cleaned or hand washed only. Never wash your tutu in a washing machine or dryer or you will be sad.
To release any wrinkles, hang in a steam room or bathroom with hot shower running.
VINYL TREATED or PRINTED ITEMS:
Bodysuits and Tees are 100% cotton and will likely shrink in the wash.
Vinyl treated or Printed items (t-shirt, bags, etc.) are recommended to be turned inside out and washed with low heat (cold water, low heat dry) or lay flat to dry is best. Do not use high temperatures.
Custom and personalized orders
I'm happy to create custom designs or color combinations.
If you'd like something different please reach out and we can discuss custom options and prices.
Custom designs are subject to an additional fee to cover the cost of any additional or special order materials as well as additional design time.
**IMPORTANT**
If you have any questions or special requests, please send me a message BEFORE placing your order so we are on the same page and I am able to meet your needs to the best of my ability.
How long will it take to make my order? Do you offer RUSH production?
I try to ship all orders within 3-10 business days after purchase.
Occasionally, this time may be longer during high volume time periods.
Always refer to the estimated delivery on your order for more accurate information.
If you need it SOONER you can purchase the Rush Order Fee listing in our shop, and these items will be processed in 2 business days.
What if my package is delayed, lost in transit, stolen, or returned to sender?
Once Upon a Fairy Tale is not liable for packages that are delayed in transit, lost by the shipping carrier, or stolen-- all circumstances which are beyond our control.
Once we hand your item over to the shipping carrier it is their responsibility to deliver the item-- please contact the shipping carrier directly regarding delays or lost packages.
If you suspect mail theft you can obtain the GPS coordinates of the last scan point from the shipping carrier and file a mail theft report with
your local police department.
What if my item is returned to the sender/seller after it's shipped?
If a customer's order is returned to the sender/seller for ANY reason the customer is responsible for paying for re-shipment.
My order did not reach me on time. Can I return it?
Sometimes there are delays in transit times across all of our shipping carriers, and these will increase in the holiday season. We cannot guarantee that a shipment will arrive by a specific date, even if the tracking provides an estimated delivery date.
We have had cases where a shipment is significantly delayed and shows as unscanned even if it was shipped. You will definitely get your shipment, but we are in no position to guarantee the timeline.
We cannot refund or cancel orders if they did not reach on time. If your order did not reach on time, please contact us and the shipping carrier. We try our best to work with you but have no control over shipping. Please understand, NO returns are accepted for shipping delays.
Licensed/ Copyright/ Intellectual Properties
While I completely understand how much our "Littles" love their favorite characters, and dream of their special day surrounded by them, I DO NOT have the rights to use any licensed/ copyright/ or other intellectual properties in my designs.
With that said, I do enjoy a challenge and have had so much fun designing outfits that coordinate well with these themes and provide just as much fun and sparkle even without the character present. If you cannot find a design in my shop that works well with your theme, contact me and I would love to design one just for you!
Do you accept returns, exchanges or alterations after delivery?
Due to the custom nature of the item we do not accept returns, exchanges or requests for alterations after delivery. We ask that you communicate any specific requests through our message conversation during the order process. We only know about a preference or request if you specify it in your message. We will always do our best to accommodate your requests!
Do you send photos before you ship items?
Due to the high volume of orders that we create and ship at times, we are unable to send photos or create mock-ups before production and shipment. We do have a photo proof package listing for purchase if you are interested. We also sometimes share sneak peeks of customer items on our Instagram @myonceuponafairytale
How do I make sure you match my color theme exactly?
The best way to make sure that your colors are matched as closely as possible is to send a) photos or b) links to items or colors that you're trying to match. You can send photo attachments or insert links in our message conversation both before and after you place an order.
I cannot guarantee a perfect match since colors vary from screen to screen, but I always do my best to match as closely as I can.
