This isn't a real review. I had ordered a sign from her but I then cancelled it and Etsy is still requesting a review on this item I never ended up ordering. She had to refund me the money. I'm giving her 5 stars just because she was kind and I need the review notification request to disappear on my Etsy app. Thank u.

About

The Story of Serendipity

My re-membering began in 2011. I simply started playing with paint, wood letters and craft-store adornments. I, quite literally, reconnected to my long, lost inner child and threw myself into childlike work. I kept busy creating sweet nursery heirlooms, name plaques and monograms for kids. Before long, my fun little hobby became a solid independent business. Over the years, I branched out into retail signage, acquired some prestigious industry partnerships and had some blockbuster blog-features (even a couple celebrity-ish clients and mentions!) My work went viral and I was proud of the name I had made for myself in the handmade marketplace.

One afternoon in the spring of 2016, out of sheer curiosity, I did some rough math and realized I had hand painted and adorned well over 5,000 letters! And instead of feeling celebratory, I actually felt stifled, and a wee bit burnt out. The following day I set aside time to freestyle paint, to break up what had became the daily 'typographical monotony'. I grabbed a birch wood slab from my inventory pile and sat down at a cleared table to center myself and create without any plan or direction -- just to see what would come of it. That afternoon the painting "Eden" was born, and upon it's first breath I heard it whisper, "Things will never be the same..."

True enough, everything changed that day. Fine art is where my heART has been ever since, really. I knew what I was being challenged to do: Hang onto what's proven safe (even though my heart wasn't in it) or take the leap (without any indication that I'm packing a parachute)?

In the summer of 2016, I jumped. Every offering that formerly made my shop popular and profitable, I deactivated in one fell swoop. I knew if I didn't make a drastic clean-cut, I'd be tempted to hang on if/when things got uncertain. So I let go, and cleared the way for something new.

So yeah... (eek). Right now, you're here catching me here in the midst of my free fall. I'm taking a BIG chance on my heART, but here's the thing...

Stumbling into fortunate circumstances has kinda been my story since I re-membered my self and began imagining again. My past has proven that as long as I honor "the flow”, I'll be most apt to occupy the balance of disciplined practice + sovereign play (<-- that's my axis.) In this sweet-spot, I find myself connecting into new relationships that make me do double-takes on the meaning of 'divine appointments', resources I need somehow become available in strangely synchronistic ways that keep me constantly believing in magic, and uncanny coincidences line up ever so perfectly. My past has proven that Surrender leads to Serendipity.

It's just what happens on the Hill.
