I'm so happy to have found this pattern - so much potential! I had had my eye on your "Big Sky Blue Bobbles" for the longest time, but it became unavailable. Now I can make my own! Thank you for this very well done pattern!

About

Celebrating joy, beauty and creativity

Although I have always been creative, it wasn't until 2007 when I started my first blog that I really began my creative awakening. It was a slow process breaking free of those limitations. Taking photos and writing regularly was a wonderful outlet for my creativity. I also began to teach myself how to crochet -- stitches other than just double crochet (my go-to stitch before then) -- and sew.

In 2010 I took a giant, life-changing leap and quit my job to move to a farm with my mom. Living on a farm has been a lifelong dream and the year I spent on hers was an amazing experience of creative discovery. I began teaching myself how to paint and I opened an Etsy shop. I also helped to raise baby chicks, plant an orchard and grow a giant vegetable garden. I even tried my hand and pickling and canning. Although my initial experience with farming was short lived, I returned to the city with a renewed dedication to living a creative life and a set of skills I would not have otherwise been able to develop. Today I am living in a rural Wisconsin town, creating art and dreaming of my future farm.

I like to imagine my Etsy shop as a virtual version of my dream bricks and mortar shop. It's about beauty. It's about joy. And about sharing those things with you. Whether the item is a purse or a painting, it's been crafted with love and joy and I hope that those feelings show in my work.

My studio is a room in my house, but really it extends far beyond these walls. My dining room table is part of my studio as is a quilt spread out in my garden. My creative laboratory extends even farther... in the woods, on the water, in museums and shops. Inspiration happens in dreams and while reading books. It can strike anywhere and everywhere.

I love it when inspiration comes to me from my customers. I enjoy creating custom pieces from your ideas; it's such fun to collaborate.

So, take a seat and we can share some tea and cupcakes while we exchange ideas or maybe just enjoy watching butterflies flutter in the flowers.

My kindergarten teacher visited my parents because I was telling stories about my pet giraffe and giant strawberry. That kindergarten me, so joyful and free, could conjure joy without the adult filter of truth. What a lot I could learn from her.
