Announcement   My leather journals are modern interpretations of a Medieval German limp-style bound book. Limp-style refers to a manuscript bound without boards, as in traditional bookbinding.

The covers are fine leather; the pages are acid-free, archival quality paper sewn with Irish Linen 4-ply thread using a German long-stitch binding. Fine papers, of various varieties, serve as the signatures, end papers and spine guards.

My journals are for any occasion and purpose. I can also personalize any purchased journal with calligraphy, for a small additional fee. Better yet—let me craft you a journal from materials you choose from my wide variety of papers and leathers for a truly one-of-a-kind gift—at no additional charge.

I also offer custom-made Ethopian style coptic stitch blank books. These books will delight any collector and are like works of art themselves.

So, grab a cup of coffee and browse my offerings! If you are not a writer or journaler now, by the time you are finished looking at my wares, you will want to become one! As I like to say—Happy Journaling!

This is the first of many original works of paper art to follow as part of my beautiful custom made journals.

About

"Journalicious" features handmade, one-of-a-kind journals sewn with traditional binding methods dating back to the 14th Century!

My inspiration for Journalicious began with a friend's talent in the book arts. She taught me how to bind books in a traditional way using Medieval sewn binding methods. I was hooked from the first stitch! I am also a Calligrapher and Graphic Designer. I began by creating a few journals for friends and inscribing them with verses that they loved. After my hubby posted a few of my creations on social media, I began to receive requests for personalized, hand-bound journals like crazy! The idea to combine the art of calligraphy with the craft of bookmaking took hold in my imagination and "Journalicious" was born!

My product is truly unique. I am inspired by the materials I choose to create each journal. I make each and every book myself in the USA!

I love custom orders. You can choose from a variety of leather, paper, thread, and charms. I will even personalize any journal with a calligraphic verse for a small additional fee.

I invite you to compare the craftsmanship and quality of my stitching and interior pages with other shops on Etsy and you will find my journals to be one-of-a-kind works of art that stand out from the crowd!
