{ENTJ} Engineer - I make stuff

I've always been a maker.

I remember being very little, hand stitching bits of my grandma's left over fabric and rickrack into outfits for my Barbie. Then using old cereal boxes, wall paper, and random other bits to make rooms. As my mom get into ceramics and counted cross stitch, I did those, too. Jr high homeEc class officially introduced the sewing machine. When my oldest was in preschool, another mom commented on the great sweater my grandma had knit, and said I should have my grandma teach me before she was gone. So I got a library book and dove into the knitting world - along with the first small try at blogging. A blog world peak at an i-spy quilt led me down the rabbit hole of fabrics and quilting! I was just going to do the small i-spy quilt craft. yeah, right Ha! Blog posts, book projects, and a couple published patterns and custom quilts followed. After many years of knitting, I was frustrated that I JUST. COULDN'T. GET. crochet. I attacked learning that and made all kinds of fun things. I also am a mechanical engineer - so everything is process optimized along the way.

Now, I'm playing with beautiful fabrics, making well engineered and useful everyday things.

You can keep up with some of my process and what might be next on instagram - updated way more often than my blog at this point! @mymetier.angela.nash
