Announcement   I am the proud mama of two beautiful, spirited children and have been designing artisan jewelry full-time for over 20 years; selling on Etsy since 2007. I adore creating mini pieces of art, one-by-one in my quaint little home studio in rural Wisconsin, where I feel most at peace and at one with my craft.

As a lifelong intuitive medium and mineral enthusiast, I enjoy using semi-precious stones to create my pieces. Each type of stone emits its own specific healing and protective energies. Look for this information within each listing I post.

Welcome to my blissful little retreat. I hope you will find something magical that speaks to YOU. Custom orders always welcomed.

Blessings,
~ Lisa Marie ~

About

Love Lost, Muse Remains In Memory, Beautiful Creations Abound

If I could name one specific event that lead me down the path of artistic jewelry design it would probably be the gift of my grandmother's old, pink satin-lined jewelry box chock full of flamboyant vintage baubles. My eyes wide as saucers at that first glimpse.

I would play with that darn box for hours, disassembling and reassembling every little piece to my satisfaction, making sure it had the just right amount of flair and oddity. She was amused that we shared the same quirkiness.

I later become the artist, the creative one in the family; the bohemian hippie rebel (wow). The one who wanted to stay home and raise my babies the "crunchy" way ~ without all the excess noise and drama that abounded in this modern world.

And then I met "her." Everything was turned upside down and topsy-turvy the day I spotted Darci. She was beautiful, loved my quirkiness; effortlessly brilliant, rational, forgiving. But there was an underlying current of sadness and despair.

Over the next five years we struggled to manage her depression, her anxiety, and on the most shocking and deepest soul-wrenching day of my life, I found she had taken her own life on July 19, 2010. I collapsed upon finding her in our apartment, drowning in what I never thought I would never survive from.

I had been an online Etsy seller for many years before creating this newest site, "My Misanthropic Muse" and I decided, when I was ready, to recreate my new site to reflect my Darci, her adorable misanthropy ~ yet enduring love for me, for my children, love of all things artistic and fragile and "human."

I design every piece by hand, with handformed wire, vintage findings, leather, glass, natural stone ~ all with conscious awareness of its future wearer; for comfort and metaphysical properties, for lasting beauty. My pieces take time and effort and I cherish those small, short bursts of thought and creativity.

I continue to design to celebrate her life and the beauty I still find every day in the world despite such loss. Your purchase contributes to my mission of saving children that suffer needlessly as Darci suffered, from child abuse and neglect. A portion of all sales goes directly to the "National Children's Alliance."

So, I thank you for supporting the artisan, the small business owner, the Mom, and the survivor. Let's enjoy the journey.

Love and Blessings,
~ Lisa Marie ~

All pieces in my shop are handmade by me with great love and attention to detail. Most have an environmental and/or spiritual influence in one way or another, whether that be through animals, flora, insects, astrology, mythology. I have been a lifelong intuitive medium and that invariably comes through in my designs, as I hold the metaphysical properties of stones in high regard for the significant benefits they provide their wearer.

Shipping
Orders will ship US First Class Mail in 1 to 3 business days of your order. If you need expedited shipping, please convo me for details. I ship using the address provided by PayPal. If your address is different than that listed in PayPal, please convo me with the address you would like me to ship to.

Expedited Shipping:

I use PayPal for shipping, please take a minute and make sure your PayPal address is correct. I normally ship USPS first class for both domestic & international.

Domestic priority mail (2-3 days) is available on all jewelry pieces for an additional $5.00 and domestic overnight is an additional $18.00.

Priority mail to Canada is an additional $12.00 but does not include tracking, if you would like priority mail to Canada with tracking the additional charge is $23.00.
International overnight to Canada is an additional $35.00.

For International orders priority mail (without tracking) is an additional $25.00 and will usually arrive in 6-10 days.

If you would like any of these options just contact me for a revised invoice either before or after you checkout. The times listed for delivery pertain to the mail service and there may still be some time needed to fabricate your piece. Please contact me if you have any questions about the arrival of your order.

International:

The customs and tariff fees for international shipping are the responsibility of the buyer. I do my best to make sure your new items reach you safely and quickly, but please note that I have no control over customs or foreign postal services. Certain countries have different rules as to what can and cannot be imported, please be aware of your country's rules before purchase. I cannot at this time ship to Italy or Mexico.

Update for UK deliveries:

It seems that the UK has changed their policy about incoming international packages and has started to impose a handling fee as well as a tariff. The handling fee seems to be somewhere around 8 pounds or 11 US dollars. The tariff varies according to the value of the item. Please be aware of these fees charged by your government if you are in the UK. I cannot mark the item "gift" on the customs form as it is illegal for me to do so.

Going "Green" :

Your items will arrive beautifully wrapped and in lovely boxes ready for gift giving.
Packaging consists of recycled materials that are commercially recycled and clean. I use jewelry boxes made of recycled paper. 100% recycled cardboard box (made with 100% post-consumer fiber) is covered with FSC-certified recycled paper made from 30% post-consumer fiber. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certifies that this paper is manufactured using ecologically responsible processes—in this case, elemental chlorine-free (EFC) pulp or wind power. I try my best to be as "green" as possible! I ask in return that you (or those lucky to receive a gift from you from my shop!) make the attempt to recycle the packaging you have received from me as well and keep that recycling mindset going.
Refunds and Exchanges
100% c u s t o m e r s a t i s f a c t i o n

If for some reason your purchase does not meet your complete satisfaction, contact me within 7 days and we will make it right. Sorry, shipping fees are not refundable and return shipping costs are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Thank you.

I am more than happy to make size adjustments when I can, or make alterations when necessary. If you would like to return the item, it must be sent back to me insured within 15 days of purchase in the unworn and new condition it was sent to you in. Your refund will exclude shipping costs and a small restocking fee of 5% to cover non-refundable fees incurred on the transaction.

Custom sizes and custom work cannot be returned unless there is found to be a flaw in the workmanship. I can in most cases re-size the item for a 10.00 fee which covers my labor. I may be able to offer an exchange credit for some items that do not qualify for returns, so please contact me for additional information.
