Announcement    Hi all! An important note: I use the USPS for shipping, but their shipping rates often increase and some orders have begun taking longer than expected to reach you due to various USPS delays. Please, whenever possible, order as early as you can. But if you need something in a hurry, please do message me: we can figure something out, upgrade to faster shipping, or do an in-house rush. (The only hats that are hard to rush are custom designs and the Giant Squid Hats as those both often require a little back-and-forth communication in the design process.)

I am a custom size & design hatmaker based in Western Massachusetts. I offer custom size and design for any kind of hat you can imagine -- not just monsters. You'll see new designs here as well as experimental one-of-a-kind hats (lots of horns and eyeballs) along with some quirky stuff as whimsy strikes. Please contact me if you're interested in a custom-built hat inspired by some of the designs you see here.

My hats are handmade, unique, and quirky. They are not symmetrical, identical, or look like they're commercially produced. I consider my hats and other monstery goods functional and fun art -- and I do not consider something looking handmade to be a bad thing. If this is of concern to you, please contact me before ordering. I want to create something you'll love that you will not find anywhere else.

I am also happy to work with you if you're interested in something that you don't see here, or to build custom listings for an item you like but isn't (yet) in your size. Please feel free to send me a convo for more information about custom orders. I do also make costumes by request; in past years that's included Korra, a giant carrot, and a long squid hat/scarf combo. If you're looking for a costume item, please message me. I love working on custom orders!

In addition, you'll see my comics and zines here as well. The monster hats developed as a way to see if I could convey expressions in a non-drawing medium, so it seemed logical to also list drawings, zines and comics, and other artwork -- again, as whimsy strikes.

All that said, there's one VERY IMPORTANT note: Please check in with me before ordering a one-of-a-kind item that you are interested in having me customize. I am not always able to accommodate these requests, as some of my hats do occasionally use fabric patterns or colors that are no longer available. I try to indicate as such on the individual listings when this is the case. I am super-happy to work with you to build custom items and create a custom listing for you, or make a large hat smaller, but please get in touch with us before you order in order to ensure best availability if you're looking to customize a one-of-a-kind item. It does take a little longer, but I think it's worth it to get you exactly the right kind of hat!
