Love these watch crowns. I did not know about the jewel crowns until recently when I saw them in someone's project. So glad they were available by this seller. AAA+++

About

Magical Items for Everyday Life

I love working with natural gemstones and crystals, especially raw and rough crystals. I have been strongly attracted to rocks and stones since I was a little girl. I search through them to find individual pieces that I feel are the right ones that will work for wire wrapping, setting, and incorporating into jewelry and accessory designs.

I also enjoy doing altered art pieces. I like the idea of being able to recycle vintage items and turn them into something entirely different. I find this style of design unusual and intriguing. I am always looking for old or interesting things to add to my inventory that can be made into jewelry or personal items.

I spend many hours searching for items on the internet, hunting through local secondhand stores, and wandering around antique shows. Sometimes I will buy something that catches my eye, but I will have no idea what I want to do with it at the time. Then, maybe as much as a year later, I will remember that I have that neat thing and have thought of a design that I create using it.

Some of my creations are very simply done, and others are quite complex. I want to offer a wide variety of things in different price ranges so that hopefully there is something in my store for everyone. For example, the vintage marble pendants that I do are simplistic, but I find them so nostalgic, that I think they appeal to many people.

I have been creating bullet jewelry since 2009 and have designed over a hundred different styles and types. I use recycled bullet shell casings, metal filigrees, Swarovski crystals, natural gemstones, vintage glass, and other items. All of the bullet casings I use are recycled so please allow for variations and small imperfections.

I started this Beautiful Bullets jewelry line in 2010 as a peace project, and I continue to donate part of the sale to different charities. I have sent donations to the Peace Corps, the Patriot Guard Riders, the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, the Sandy Hook School Support Fund, and the USO. Thanks to everyone who has purchased one of these designs and made that possible.

Welcome. I hope you will find things here that interest you. Many of my items are OOAK {one of a kind}. I may be able to reproduce a piece, so if you try to buy an item and it shows as out of stock, please contact me to see if another similar item can be made. I will always try to work with you to get you the creation you want.

The photos of my items are enlarged for detail. That is why I always use a ruler in the picture or note the measurements in the listing, so that you know the exact size. Please be sure to verify this before you buy, to avoid disappointment when the item is smaller than it looked in the photo.

Stones listed as natural, raw, or rough may have some imperfections and inclusions. Be sure to check all photos, including the zoom feature, for details about a particular stone. Colors may vary with individual monitors. Many stones are susceptible to fading, and they should be kept out of direct sunlight. Do not use hot water or salt water to clean them. Stone properties and descriptions are for informational purposes only and do not offer any guaranteed outcomes. Also, they are not intended as a substitute for medical care.

Please remember that my jewelry designs may not be completely waterproof because I sometimes use eco-friendly adhesive and glaze. Do not wear while bathing, swimming, or sleeping. Do not apply perfume or other chemicals while wearing.

A polishing cloth is the best thing for cleaning and shining metal jewelry. Storing your jewelry inside some type of container will help protect it and keep it from tarnishing.

Buyer assumes all responsibilities and risks when wearing or using items purchased from this store. They are not intended for young children as the items contain small parts that could be a choking hazard.

I will usually ship out your item within 3 days of completed payment. I ship using USPS.com with delivery confirmation. Items paid via Paypal will be sent to your verified Paypal address so please be sure your mailing address is current in your Paypal account. I often recycle padded envelopes to keep First Class shipping costs down. I will combine shipping whenever possible to save you money.

Custom items or items temporarily out of stock may take longer to ship.

Note: Postal restrictions may prohibit bullet jewelry from being shipped to certain countries outside the United States. Some countries also prohibit importing precious metal or stones, and jewelry made from these materials.

Due to the recent increase in International postage, please contact me for exact shipping costs to countries other than the United States. Most jewelry items MUST be shipped as Priority Mail insured, but some items may be able to be shipped in a more economical way.

International shipping rates are usually determined by weight and/or size, and can vary with the items you purchase. I can give you the exact shipping cost if you let me know the items you wish to purchase.

In compliance with USPS postal regulations, I do not mark items as gifts on customs forms. There may be a VAT (value added tax) on orders shipped to countries outside the United States. The buyer is responsible for all import or duty taxes and handling fees imposed by their country. Please check your country's customs rules if you are unsure. Any problem with international orders must be reported within 25 days of shipping notification. If buyer refuses delivery due to tax owed, I cannot refund until item is returned to me and I cannot refund shipping costs.

I cannot be responsible for damage or loss incurred during shipping for uninsured items. If an item is shipped internationally and is seized or lost by the customs office, I cannot be responsible and will not refund the cost of the item or the shipping charges.
Refunds and Exchanges
I want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me and I will be happy to resolve the problem with a refund, exchange, or store credit. Item must be returned to me in the original condition within 7 days of receipt (14 days in EU). Please use a tracking number to confirm receipt of returned item. I cannot refund shipping costs. Items that have been altered, used, or worn cannot be returned. Seasonal items cannot be returned. Custom made items cannot be returned, so please be sure you are happy with them before shipment. Thank you.

Caring for Steampunk and Neo Victorian Jewelry

Steampunk Jewelry is in reality the epitomé of Green Jewelry. The art of creating altered art pieces from vintage watch movements is the ultimate form of recycled design. Unfortunately, two of the main types of metal used in these Neo Victorian pieces are copper and brass, and wearing them can turn your finger, wrist, and neck green. Both of these metals react to sweat and to moisture, but there are a few things you can to do to prevent that green tinge from showing up on your skin.

First, be sure to keep the jewelry clean, and give it a dusting of powder before you wear it. For pieces that come into close contact with your skin such as rings, you can use one or two coats of clear nail polish. This can wear off in time, so you might need to reapply the polish again later. You should try to keep your skin as dry as possible when wearing Steampunk jewelry by using a handkerchief, or by using some type of matte finish makeup or oil blotter. I often use a very light polish of lemon oil on my brass and copper chains. This cleans them and gives them a nice shiny finish as well. Be sure to wipe off all excess oil before wearing the chains, as it could stain your clothing.

While every care has been given to secure these designs with glue,
lacquer, and other fixatives, they may not be completely water-proof. Please do not wear while bathing, showering, or swimming. Do not use harsh chemicals such as hairspray or perfume while wearing.

Many stones are susceptible to fading, and they should be kept out of direct sunlight. Do not use hot water or salt water to clean them. A polishing cloth is the best thing for cleaning and shining metal jewelry. Storing your jewelry inside some type of container will help protect it and keep it from tarnishing.
