Shipping was super fast, actually thought it would arrive after my fiance's birthday but arrived right on time. And he LOVED it. We recently moved next to a CT tobacco farm and barn and he is obsessed with the tobacco growing process. Thanks, he was totally surprised and it is truly unique.

Our girls and why we started our business.
Our get-a-way. This was last summer, 2012. Tim has cancer and is a walking miracle. He was diagnosed w/sarcoma cancer.
Right before he was diagnosed.

Our Story

We started our business by making things for friends. Then decided to sell some wooden door hangers. This was in 2010. The extra money helped to fund 3 teenage girls and their wants/needs. College was right around the corner so it was another way to help. We were so busy that we left God out many times. Well in 2012 He got our attention. Tim was diagnosed with stage 4 Sarcoma Cancer. Doctors gave him 8-12 months with chem. We stopped the business to concentrate on his healing. ALOT of prayers were sent up and continue to be sent up. It has been 16 months since he was first diagnosed and we are still blessed and he is still here. Our Dr.s at DUKE say he is a rare miracle. I'll take it. We continue to see our Dr.s at Duke every 3 months to monitor changes. We have a CarringBridge page. Tim Ledord. As for now, he loves helping with the business and it is very therapeutic for him. (and me)

The Painted Monkey was started back in 2010 by my husband and I. We both work outside the home but needed to make extra money for rising college kids. So why not do what we love and have a passion for. We are a Christian led business and proud of it.
