Sia - Thank you so much for these stunning, unique earrings! They make such an elegant statement and the colors are spectacular. You have a wonderful eye for color and I will enjoy wearing these so much. Thank you for the high quality jewelry and for making my outfits look great. Your earrings are some of my favorites, and I have many! The creative director in my office, whose work is very refined, loved them too!

Wow! Even more beautiful that pictured. I love, love, love them! Thank you!
I have been fascinated with jewelry since I was a little girl. Playing in my grandmothers jewelry box and my mothers jewelry drawer, was a magical wonderland for me. My first attempt at creating jewelry was when I was 9 or 10 years old, on a family trip to Hawaii. I made several seaweed necklaces and didn't have a clue why no one wanted to wear them. Ha!
It wasn't until high school that I actually learned how to design and create real jewelry. My friends parents opened a jewelry store and I couldn't wait to get a part-time job there. This is where my love for gemstones was born. I had already been a lover of Turquoise, but this opened up a whole new world for me. I learned as much as I could and to be honest, I would have paid them to let me work there. I continued designing and creating my own jewelry after high school, mostly selling to my friends, and or gifting it. During my second year of college, my dad noticed that I was mostly only taking art and business classes, so he came to me one day with the idea of going to the Gemological Institute of America. That was the end of my college career. I was off to GIA and loving it!
I lived in Los Angeles and worked for myself, designing only wholesale collections which I sold through reps. I have to admit, it wasn't that much fun for me. I'm pretty much of a bohemian free spirit and I found myself in an environment that was dictating what they wanted me to design, which at the end of the day was trendy. I like to design timeless pieces. Treasures you'll take out of your jewelry box ten years from now and still be in love with it. I was feeling stifled, but found it hard to walk away from the money.
It wasn't until I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer that my perception changed. I was forced to shut down my business for well over a year. I was in survival mode and going through treatments when one of my friends told me to repeat the words peace and love to myself, over and over again, and picture my body filling up with "peace and love." It may sound silly, but those words did a lot for me. They became my mantra and after time, having a peaceful state of mind combined with fierce medical treatment, I was healed. All of the cancer was gone.
It took me a while to get my sea legs back and to feel inspired. But during my recovery, I was traveling through Sedona, Arizona and it all just kind of hit me at once. I needed to get back to doing what I loved most, which was creating jewelry using gorgeous healing gemstones. I didn't want to use reps anymore and be told that I needed to add a grenade pendant to my necklaces. I wanted to be free and I needed to come up with a new name for my business. And this is where My Peace & Love was born:-)

Additional policies and FAQs
Directions for cleaning My Peace & Love jewelry:
For GEMSTONES - Gently hand-wash using a gentle soap and water.
For STERLING SILVER - Gently hand-wash using silver cleaner and rinse afterwards with water. Do not polish chains with a silver cloth, as some chains are softer than others and could become misshapen. Dry with a soft non-abrasive cloth. Make sure item is completely dry before returning to storage.
For 24K GOLD VERMEIL - Vermeil is best kept by storing items in sealed zip lock bags with anti-tarnish strips. Use a soft bristled toothbrush with gentle dish soap under warm running water. Do NOT use a silver polish cloth to clean Vermeil. Make sure you rinse well and wipe with a soft non-abrasive cloth to dry. Water residue can cause staining. Make sure the piece is fully dry before returning to storage.
