The Nordic Shawl is my top seller and the first pattern I designed.
Nothing beats a moment of crochet and a hot cuppa.
I live in an old farmhouse from 1760 in the Swiss countryside and this is where my studio is.
One of my favorite places to work is on my green bench in the garden on a sunny day.
In winter I crochet inside and the right ambience, creating "hygge" is just as important as the crochet itself.

I am Annette, author and creator of My Rose Valley BLOG. I love mixing & matching colors, crocheting, sewing & quilting. I am a designer, mom, wife, daughter, sister & friend, living a simple homespun life in the Swiss country style with my American husband and 3 kids.

I believe that every home needs something handmade to feel cozy and warm, and the best way to make that happen is to make your own creations.

I design crochet patterns influenced by my Scandinavian roots (Sweden) and with high emphasis on function and simplicity, often with a folksy touch. I think a creation should come out as a timeless piece which you can enjoy for years to come.

Occasionally I stock up with handmade creations like quilts, baby blankets, buntings and winter accessories.
