My photography journey began 14 years ago with a cancer scare when I was very young. Fearing the worst, I picked up a camera to attempt to capture every moment I could of my then infant son's life. As the years passed and the cancer never returned, I was left still holding a camera in my hand.

Along the way I developed an interest in photoshop and was creating my own papers and design elements to use for my scrapbooks. As my scrapbooking evolved, so did my photography. I knew if I wanted to make photography a career, though, that I needed to learn more so in 2007 I began researching, studying and practicing until I taught myself how to use a camera properly.

In 2012 I took the leap and opened my Etsy shop (having never even shown my fine art work locally.) Doing so was one of the greatest decisions I ever made.

Now I feel that my photography journey has began again. Many of my photos are taken in and around my own home but I take my camera with me everywhere. My style is still evolving and I am continuously learning and trying something new. I am finally finding the place I was destined to be at. With camera in hand, I couldn't be happier.
