Shop policies

Last updated on January 9, 2012
Hello! I am a handweaver living in Maryland. All items are handmade in my Maryland studio by me. I promise I do not exploit myself, nor do I employ myself in a sweat shop.

Allergy Info: My house is smoke, asbestos, and radium free. I do live with three cats the size of bears so any item from my house may contain their hair. I personally have severe indoor allergies, including to bear-cats. Everything in my work area is clean enough for my nose, but you know yours best.

Dyes: I use professional quality, synthetic dyes. Yes, I know, they're all petroleum products or mined using terrible practices and I'm a horrible person. For me, they are less toxic. Natural dyes mean natural mordents and I like to keep my house heavy-metal free.

Child-Safe: I have many items, especially toys, listed as being child-safe. This means that I have put extra care into making seams sturdy, to rinsing out dye residue, and to avoid parts that could be a choking hazard. Within reason, both toy and child should survive interactions. However, as children are the ultimate destructive force of the universe, I make no absolute guarantees.

Accepted payment methods

  • Pay with Visa
  • Pay with Master Card
  • Pay with American Express
  • Pay with Discover
  • Pay with PayPal
Paypal is the easiest way for me to receive money. If, for whatever reason, it's not the easiest way for you, then just send me a convo and we'll work something out. I can accept money orders, personal checks, alley way drop offs of paper bags full of money... Well, maybe not that last.
Domestic shipping cost is included in most items! I mail Priority Mail unless stated otherwise. If you wish an upgrade, delivery confirmation, deadlines, international shipping or owl post, just convo me so I can tack on the extra cost.

Speaking of international shipping, I am happy to ship to wherever you are. However, because international rates vary, I won't know the exact shipping cost until I speak to my friendly neighborhood Post Master. So if you're from Azerbaijan, go ahead and purchase, and expect a message from me about exact shipping costs.

Also, I am located in Maryland, so if you are in Maryland and dislike waiting for things to come in the mail, then let me know. In person pick ups also come with a cup coffee/tea.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you must cancel an order, please do it quickly. I generally ship the next business day after I receive an order. Once I have shipped it's not a cancelation, it's a return.

If, for whatever reason, you are not fabulously in love with your purchase, then you have 30 days to return it. To return, simply mail it back to the return address printed on the package. When I receive the item and have inspected it to ensure it is still in salable condition, I will refund the cost of the item. I do not refund shipping.
Additional policies and FAQs
I do take commissions! Feel free to convo me for details.

If I have the materials in stock (cottons, fine merino, naturally colored alpaca, linen), then no downpayment is necessary. However, if I have to order the materials special, I will require materials cost up front.

However, because I only have one loom, I can only weave one project at a time. Therefore I cannot guarantee a start date for when I begin work. I will however do my best to get you your creation in a timely manner.
