Jewelry that makes your heart sing.

I grew up in the suburbs of Toronto. A typical two-storey home with a dog and a backyard. You could find me most days using my skipping rope as a microphone and belting out song after song atop our picnic table. Friends and family, school, music and crafty endeavours pretty well filled my days.

My life makes sense to me now but I didn't get here in a straight line. After marrying my highschool sweetheart, I ended up in HR and Payroll & Benefits. I eventually left that career to be a full time mom. Motherhood changed my life for the better. I loved being with my girls (and I still do!) With lack of time and lack of sleep I sort of lost myself for a bit but I also found the things that were the most important to me as a person.

I focused on my family, our home and painting and decorating. I became certified as an Interior Decorator and opened my own decorating business. Fabric and paint colours make me so happy! Alongside that I started creating my own jewelry and quite by accident jewelry and beads took over my life (and dining room table).

I just love playing with beads. Although I try to store my beads in containers (my family is possibly questioning this statement - but to clarify I did say 'try') when I'm creating I do best with beads all around me. I like to see the possibilities rather than just think about them. So inspired with an idea I'll pick out several colours and shapes of beads, different chains and charms. I'll pour them in front of me onto my worktable. This is when it gets fun. This is when the unexpected happens. Two beads roll together and reveal a fabulous combination. It literally makes me sing.

Here I am today happily playing with beads, twisting bits of metal into jewelry all while singing along with my ipod. Serendipity you might say.

I love to play with coloured beads and metals. I'm inspired by travel, nature, love and vintage beads. I live just outside of Toronto with my husband and two daughters (when they're not at University) and our cute little dog Rylie.
