Announcement    ATTENTION: I'LL BE OUT OF MY STUDIO 9/23-10/2. EVERYTHING PURCHASED BETWEEN THOSE DATES WILL PROMPTLY BE SHIPPED ON MONDAY, 10/3! Welcome to my Etsy shop! I'm a weaver who also enjoys dyeing yarn. It truly goes hand in hand with weaving because you can dye yarn to get a certain look to your handwoven fabric. I've dyed all the yarn for the wefts in my handwoven bags. I've been in the Fiber Arts business now for 40 years now and enjoy every aspect of it. I love dyeing yarn but don't make up recipes to dye from. I dye whatever I'm feeling when I get the dye pots out that day. I don't wholesale or do trunk shows so that's why I'm able to set my prices a little lower than the mainstream. I can dye sweater quantities, so if you're interested, just message me here on Etsy. I hope you enjoy looking around and thank you for stopping in. We welcome everyone and DO NOT discriminate on the basis of race, ability, sexual orientation or gender expression. My parents had friends from all walks of life, so I was brought up to treat everyone with respect and still do to this day. I try to ship out all orders within 24 hours, during the weekdays. 💗

Thanks for checking out my handmade items! Feel free to message me with any questions or concerns.

My mother was an artist and always had us involved with some sort of art project growing up. We did everything from watercolors to silk screening, block printing (making our own stamps because you couldn't buy rubber stamps at the time) to tie dyeing, silk screening, watercolor painting, table loom weaving, pottery, Inkle loom weaving, origami, chalk drawings. You name it, we probably did it. I partnered with my mother, the weaving business, in 1982, right after the birth of my first child. I wanted to be a stay at home mom but still make an income. We sold wholesale, consignment and retail at many large, juried ACC and art fairs across the United States. Now over 30 years later, I am still passionate about working with the different yarns, textures and colors. I weave scarves as well as fabric for my handwoven bags and straps. My son, who is an accomplished guitar player, inspired me to use my weaving to make guitar straps which along with my camera straps later became my Sound Wake Straps. I'm looking forward to entering the next phase of my weaving which is using my own hand dyed yarns as the focal point in all my weaving. I used to help my mother occasionally with her dyeing process. She dyed some of her yarns with the "space dyed" method, which weren't available commercially back then. My mother was a big influence to me and I'm so fortunate to have grown up being able to express myself as an artist with different mediums. It's a pleasure to me, to be able to walk into my studio each morning and see all the beautiful colors and textures just waiting for me to something create with them.❤️

My mother was an artist & in 1982, with the birth of my first child, I joined her in her weaving business. Over the years, we've sold in galleries all over the US. I opened my Etsy shop in June 2016 & it's now the only place you'll find my creations.

Frequently asked questions

Custom and personalized orders

Custom orders take 4-6 weeks although I try my best to ship out earlier than 4 weeks. Custom orders can not be discounted using coupons because of the extra time it takes to create them. Thank you for understanding.
