I DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS even though my listings say I do. It is a glitch in the Etsy system that I have tried countless times to edit with no luck. Each listing starts with ALL SALES ARE FINAL.

Most items are one of a kind finds, some are like new. You will see imperfections that are from age and use. I try to describe all flaws but occasionally miss some. I believe these flaws only add more character and vintage appeal to an item. I offer layaway (see Policies) and will consider all reasonable offers.

With all that is going on in the world with Covid-19 shipping can be delayed, especially international shipping.

*****FYI - Parcel Select Ground is the slowest mail service and carries no insurance. If you choose it to save money on shipping, just know that if your package gets damaged I am in no way responsible for reimbursing you. The postal service can be very negligent in handling packages and I am not responsible for that. For a little more money you can choose Priority Mail which includes $100 insurance and less handling. I used to upgrade packages to Priority at my expense but since the prices went up again I can no longer do that. *****


PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE check that your shipping address is correct when ordering. There have been a number of old addresses left on accounts. This only delays the already slower shipping and causes your package to be bounced around from post office to post office.


DAMAGED ITEM REFUNDS

****As of July 2020, I have had to change my policy on refunds for damaged items. Because of a few, this will affect many. I apologize for that.

In the past I have issued a refund to the buyer right away for a damaged item and then submitted the insurance claim. The postal service has become more strict on their claims and do not cooperate very well with us sellers. Many times they require the damaged item be brought to the post office for inspection. Since I do not have the item any longer it is up to the buyer to do that. I found that once the buyer receives the refund from me there is not much incentive to make the trip to the post office. They already got their refund, which leaves no option for me to get mine from the insurance claim.

NEW POLICY - NON- NEGOTIABLE
The buyer is now responsible to submit an insurance claim directly to the post office and wait for the refund from them. The post office will most likely require to see the item AND the packaging so the buyer will have to follow through on that to keep the claim in process. I no longer have the item and cannot do that.

I pack my items securely and cannot control how the PO handles them once I hand them over.

Go online at www.usps.com and submit a claim. You will need your tracking number (found on the receipt), the receipt for value of purchase and at least two pictures of the damage.***

A Life-long Passion for Thrifting Makes Me an Etsy Entreprenuer

I have picked and thrifted all my life to fill my 1900's farmhouse and to surround myself with the cozy atmosphere that old vintage items give. I live in an 1870 Victorian home now and I have filled it with all of my treasures from over 30 years of collecting.

In an effort to downsize I decided to open a shop on Etsy to sell some of my things. I found it so hard to let go of them that I ended up deactivating listings after things were selling! The only thing to do was to start picking and thrifting again to buy things specifically to sell in my shop. I love all kinds of vintage from farmhouse, cottage, shabby chic, retro, and Victorian. You will find it all here.

The name NaNa's Things comes from my experience of having some of my grandmother's things and NaNa is the name that my two granddaughters and grandson call me. It is pronounced Naah Naah.

My house is my shop and every room has something Etsy in it! I am working on containing it all in one area. I photograph a lot of my items as extra pictures in the listings in different parts of my home. The photos you see above are of the different rooms that help enhance my items.


I am a vintage junkie and have been for many years! NaNa's Things is a collection of items I have collected over the past 25+ years, along with some vintage items I find on my many picking sprees. Some items I am selling as is, others I have recycled, repurposed and made into something new.

I am not an expert in vintage items but have been collecting for 30 years so I choose, date and describe items to the best of my ability, research and knowledge. If I am offering a counterfeit item, please let me know as I will really appreciate it! You can expect some flaws in the items due to age and wear.

I accept payment through Direct Checkout through Etsy and PayPal. New York state residents will be charged 8% sales tax.

Once I receive payment through PayPal, the item will be shipped. If the item is not paid for within 7 days, it will be relisted and the transaction cancelled.

I am willing to reserve (hold) an item for you but would appreciate payment within the time we determine through conversation, up to a week. If the item is not purchased within a week it will go back into the shop for others to purchase.

INTERNATIONAL buyers: Please note that you are responsible for any extra fees incurred by your customs/tax laws.

I use recycled boxes and packing materials whenever possible.

**If an item is returned to me because of insufficient address or someone is unavailable to accept it, I am willing to resend it to the correct address for an additional shipping fee. If you do not want the item, I can refund the original purchase price only, minus the original shipping.

***If an item is delivered to your address and then stolen, I am not responsible in any way for it. Contact your local post office. The USPS will not honor a loss claim submitted by me for an item that shows delivered in their system.

Additional policies and FAQs

When you click "Marked as Gift"

This option is for when you are sending the item directly to the recipient through Etsy. The recipient's address should be on your Etsy account. You can include a message with it. No receipt or invoice will be included.

I do not gift wrap. Most of my items are difficult to wrap in bubble and paper so gift wrapping is not an option.

All items are as described and meet Etsy's criteria for vintage items. PLEASE look at the photos carefully so you fully know what you will receive. I may not describe all minor flaws because these items are vintage and most come with flaws. When an item is recycled or repurposed by myself using newer materials with the old, the description will convey this.
