I love the progression of the colors and the bag was just beautiful and tied it all together. Wonderfully done!

This was my first purchase from NanoStitchLab and it won’t be my last. It shipped in the specified pre-order timeline and the product is high quality. Waiting impatiently for the next Science is Real edition!

I can't express how much I love this colorway!!! It has become such precious stash that I want to be 1000000% confident that I have the best project lined up! I'm so glad I finally tried nanostitchlab yarn because it is deliciously soft and airy and is dyed to perfection with vibrant colors and crisp speckles. The bag is fabulous too; everything about the construction is lovely and practical while still being beautiful! My order got to me super fast and I haven't stopped admiring my yarn and bag since they arrived.

Perfection! I love the details of the of the magenta in the bag that matches the yarn.
Unique hand-dyed yarns created by two “scientists” mad about color.
We are Angela and Heather, two friends who love the fiber arts and have always been drawn to the beauty of hand-painted yarns. When we began dyeing our own yarn, we joked that we looked like mad scientists decked out in plastic aprons, heat-proof gloves and respirators. But most importantly: once we started mixing dye and creating our own colors, we FELT like mad scientists. And thus, NanoStitch Lab was born.
We find inspiration for our colorways in all aspects of science: astronomy, biology, chemistry, geology and more. We are inspired by and celebrate women in STEM. We have a whole line of tonal colorways named after female scientists, like Annie J. Easley who was an actual rocket scientist and Rosalind Franklin whose work led to the discovery of double helix DNA though two men received the Nobel Prize for the discovery.
We love to experiment with color: creating new colors, new color pairings, and finding that perfect speckled pop of color. We dye colors that inspire us. We dye colors that we want to work with and eventually wear. We dye colors that we love and we hope you do too.

This pin was designed with Bombasine, who then had them produced. She turned our vision into a reality.

Due to its hand-dyed nature, each specimen is unique and the skein you receive may vary slightly from the skein photographed. Monitors and screens differ so colors may vary. Due to the unique nature of hand-dyed yarn, no two skeins are exactly alike. When using more than one skein for a project, alternate between skeins to ensure a seamless color transition.
Even though this yarn is superwash, we still recommend hand-washing and drying flat. Some color bleeding may occur during the first few washes.
See a colorway that you’d like in a different base? Or do you need more than one skein for a larger project? Undyed skeins are also available for your colorwork projects! Just send us a message!
