About EtymologyJewelry

Etymology Jewelry - Handmade Jewelry for Creative Babes - Handmade in NYC

Etymology Jewelry started on Etsy in 2008 back when I was a first year student at the art college MICA. Making jewelry grew out of my natural disposition to create, as I was always making and creating things in an artistic way, even from a young age. Jewelry seemed to be a natural fit as I had also always been devouring fashion magazines and loved the idea of being involved in the fashion (or jewelry!) world.

When I started making jewelry, I was using game pieces like scrabble and boggle cubes to spell out words and phrases in my work, thus the name Etymology. The aesthetic has changed since but the name stuck. I've learned many different techniques and fabrication methods to create my work, and everything is handmade by me in my Brooklyn, NY studio. I hope you get as much joy out of every piece as I do, and if you ever want to know more, feel free to drop me a line.
