Welcome to the Attic
As a child at the mere age of 5, I was always the last one to finish a drawing or an art project in Sunday School, trying to make sure I stayed within all the lines on my coloring sheet, or cut out and glued down everything perfectly within my activity. Such devotion to detail carried with me through the years as I delved into art classes, photography, poetry, watercolors and now, wood.
Throughout high school and college, I began making decorations, paintings and crafts for friends and family as presents, and the love and joy I saw on their faces as they opened their gifts, made the act of gift giving that much more rewarding and personal! The crafts represented not only my appreciation for the recipient, but the time, energy and handmade tenderness with which they were made. My friends and family have encouraged me to share this happiness with others through this Etsy shop!
I am so excited to share with you my "treasures" from reclaimed and recycled wood, hand crafted and hand painted. It brings me such joy to hear feedback from my customers and to know that they are thrilled with their purchases! I am honored when customers ask me to make a personalized and unique sign for them. NatalieRaesAttic started from the love of babies, country and crafting. From the moment I found out I was pregnant, I became obsessed with all things baby. The sheer adorableness of teeny tiny little clothes, toys and decorations just melt my heart. My drive to stay home to raise our baby has pushed me to stretch my hand at crafting for gifts to family members for various events, to gifts for anyone to enjoy.
