I've felt pigeon-holed in the past. I've been envious of those who can do a single thing so extraordinarily well. I'm an experimenter. A dabbler. Or maybe I'm just easily bored. Sewing, pattern-making, cross stitch, vintage, supplies, paper goods. There's not a whole lot that I haven't tried.

I worked as a seamstress for two years before becoming a stay at home mom to my little girl. The last thing I wanted to do when I got home from altering clothes all day was sew some more. I took a nice, long (too long!) break from sewing. I had some fun making cross stitch patterns to sell here at Glitter+Wit. I got pregnant with baby number two.

In April 2013 I started following some sewing blogs and participating in the online sewing community. I started sewing again! I created a blog to document all the things I make. I quickly made friends, improved my sewing skill, and spent way too much money on indie sewing patterns. Fast forward nine months and here I am; starting over with my Etsy shop. The cross stitch patterns will be no more as I focus on my passion for sewing darling things for darling children (and something here and there for the darling mamas, too).

It feels really good to finally let go of the 'someday' and live in the now.
